To not understand how people can turn a blind eye to children in danger

Don't want to go into too much detail as I've reported it but someone I know is letting a child sex offender be around children. People in their family know about this and claim to be disgusted and appalled yet haven't done anything to stop it. I just don't understand the mindset of 'oh that's awful but it's not my place to get involved' surely it's everyones place to get involved if children are at risk?!

I'm aware of someone who is doing the same and all I can do is watch things when I see them. SS knows so they are also being watched by them. Still absolutely cannot understand someone prioritising a shit head over their children (shit head is new boyfriend not DC dad)

So, get involved then.

I have got involved, as I said in my OP as soon as I found out what was happening I reported it to the relevant authorities, that's the whole point of my post 🙄

Have you told everyone that you reported it? Or did you report it anonymously?
Im sure others have reported it too, they just dont want to have been known to have reported it.

Maybe they are keeping quiet about reporting?
