We moved house just under a year ago. We are on nodding terms with the next door neighbours, but have never exchanged names. Now they've sent us a Christmas card with the names on, which should be great, as I won't have to ask them, except I can't read the handwriting! Any ideas? I've cut off the man's name as I can read that, and I can see the last one is Emily, but the other three are a mystery. If it helps, the children are girl, boy, girl.

The ‘ia’ after the D is the same as in Liam

DodgeRainClouds · 10/12/2019 20:04

Aimee and Liam I can see

If it is Diane (and I agree it’s likely), she needs a bit of work on the letter n. Grin

"To all at number (whatever)"

Is my failsafe for neighbours.
Failing that, just write the name in a similarly indecipherable script.

Deric

icantfind · 10/12/2019 20:14

Diane. What you think is ee is an a that hasn’t met at the top!

DowntownAbby · 10/12/2019 20:19

Why not just scribble the 'names' so they look similar to what's in the card.

You could scribble your family's names, too.

Play them at their own game. Grin

I know a Deniece who everyone calls Deece?

Ihavehadenoughalready · 10/12/2019 20:33

Well, I'm not convinced about "Steve" either.

Ihavehadenoughalready · 10/12/2019 20:35

And not to be picky, but "Love" looks more like Lae or Lar.

Norugratsatall · 10/12/2019 20:37

Steve, Diane, Aimee, Liam and Emily.

Ihavehadenoughalready · 10/12/2019 20:41

I just don't see how it could be Diane. Where in the world is the n?
