The dark web

I'm 39 years old and today have just learnt from DBIL that there's such a thing as the 'Dark web'

I feel as though I've been living under a rock! Has anyone ever been on there before? Can you really hire a hitman and things or is DBIL exaggerating?

Forgot to say, 1Password pricing is $2.99 per month which is great value!

If you have a geeky older teen ask them how to access it. I guarantee they can show you.

If we're comparing password managers, Lastpass is pretty good - and if you just use it on a PC, free.

It's also a good idea to enable 2-factor authentication wherever you can, when it's offered. UK banks have already begun enforcing this, meaning you need a card reader or a phone to receive an SMS in order to log into online banking (unless you use their "app" which I would never do).

Our internet is the tip of the iceberg, the rest is the 'dark' web. It is super dodgy, and where a lot of child pornography lives, and yes you can buy drugs etc.
You can use a Tor to get on it, it's not illegal to access and has had an uplift in people using it as they don't like the fact that Google etc. track our every move and market to us and our info is no longer 'private'.
Personally it's not for me, I am quite literally afraid of what I might come across on there by accident. I despair of humanity as it is sometimes.

also, the police etc. are on there and do try to track, find the dodgy stuff and dodgy peeps so if you're on be careful and don't get too 'curious' because if YOU try to do something dodgy to see if it works or you can even for a laugh you'll be the one caught, not the OCGs who use codes within it and are super slippery.
