To really not want my son to work for the same company I used to work for?

I left in 2017 so just over two years ago now. It is badly paid work but the advantage to that is that there is absolutely loads of it available.

Ds has autism. This job will in all probability not go very well. I still have friends there and he will be working in close contact with them, he will think nothing of blurting out personal and private facts about me. Not to be malicious, he just won’t think and he’ll want to impress.

It’s done now but aibu to be quite upset he’s done this as I asked him not to

I can see why that might be hard for you OP, the clash of wanting your son to do well but not at the expense of your relationship with your friends. So difficult. Did he say why he didn't respect your wishes (for him not to work there)?

I don’t think he thought. I suggested he do this line of work and even gave him the phone nos of other companies but no only my old one will do apparently Hmm

Can you tell him your concern?
