Renovating a house so had to order lot of item. The past 3 months have been a nightmare.

  1. Order radiators. WRONG SIZE SENT
  2. Order light fittings. ARRIVED DAMAGED
  3. Order bed. ONLY HALF ARRIVED
  4. Order shower. HALF MISSING
  5. Order carpet. ARRIVED DIRTY
  6. Order blinds. WRONG SIZE SENT
  7. Order taps. PIECES MISSING
  8. Order table and chairs. ARRIVED DAMAGED
  9. Order china. ARRIVED SMASHED
10. Order bedding. NEVER ARRIVED 11. Order television. ARRIVED DAMAGED 12. Order door handles. WRONG ONES SENT 13. Order mirror. ARRIVED SMASHED 14. Order log basket. NEVER ARRIVED 15. Order curtains. WRONG PATTERN SENT 16. Order lamp. WHEELBARROW SENT I have spent endless hours on the phone, email, and live chat sorting out all of this mess. AND AS FOR THE UTILITY COMPANIES!!!!!!!! That's another disaster!

Theres some people that seem to get the bad luck. That would be you and I OP! In fact I could write pretty similar 😂 My favourite is a parcel that was signed for in Fife, Scotland....I live in Yorkshire!

Gosh I think you may have just been very unlucky or be shopping in the wrong places.

I do think that with everything being big companies it can be a bit 'computer says no', but I generally find most retailers to be very good.

Sorry if that sounded dismissive. We moved a few years ago and it was extremely stressful, we did have problems with the utilities but it does all settle down in the end.

YANBU.
We bought a fixer upper. Lots of things we ordered arrived damaged, some multiple times.
Tradesmen were awful. Completely unreliable. Couldn't be bothered. We had to complain about lots of shoddy workmanship, even from people and businesses with glowing reviews.
It makes the whole process so stressful you have my sympathy.

I feel your pain. I've been doing a light refurb and spent thousands on new items and handymen.

I've had to do 4 or 5 returns and Every.Single.One. I've had to chase and chase to get the money returned. Angry There should be automatic fine if it isn't paid by a certain date.

It sounds like you have had a lot of bad luck there.

I guess it is how they are or aren't resolved is the key.
