YABU it's rancid. I make baked beans for DS (yes I know PFB etc), it's essentially passata, some water, garlic and smoked paprika, if you add salt and quite a lot of sugar and cook it slowly for a without the beans it'll be similar to bean juice (🤢) I'd imagine

I have an actual fear of bean juice, thankfully we have no massive baked bean fans in this household so I dont have to come across them very often. Bleeeurgh

Book. The juice is the worst part. If I must eat beans then I prefer the over cooked slightly crusty, juice evaporated greasy spoon style beans.

If that matters, I'm with you OP. That's the most edible part of a can of baked beans.

I can start bottling it ans sending it to you I always drain most of the sauce off before putting them on my toast.
