I think they are vans. Are they the new converse or something?! Nearly every female in their teens 20s and even 30s seem to be wearing these hideous shoes. Why? Is it like the superdry bollocks?

I find them rather ugly looking.

I have seen pictures where everyone in the group has the exact same pair, when I was young you never got the same as anyone else you had some thing slightly different.
What I don't understand either is wearing them when you go out out. With dresses.
I'm early 30's.

I like them. I have wide feet and converse are shit as they’re so narrow. I enjoy being able to get funky coloured shoes that amuse me, and I give zero fucks for the lack of amusement my shoes give other people.

Which reminds me, Schuh have a sale on. I should go look at vans, I’d like a new pair of high tops to wear with my fabulous dresses and garishly awesome tights

I work at a university and all the students seem to wear these awful ugly white clunky fifa things. Just grim.

I missed Vans in the 90s, I was in Docs.
I wear Vans Ultraweld now. The huge advantage they have over many other trainers is that they are vegan. It’s very hard to buy vegan trainers. And as New Balance sponsored Trump I’ve stopped wearing them.

They've been the big teenage thing here (Italy) for about 4 years (before that it was Stan Smith's and before that Converse)
Only Wednesday when my 16 year olds were saying they didn't follow fashion I said "who hasn't got a pair of Vans?" and not one out of 29 put their hands up.
I've not seen adults in them here though.

i have noticed a lot of people wearing them too. i love my black glitter vans, i wear them all the time.

I have the exact shoes you’re talking about. I wear them because they’re comfortable and fashionable and go with pretty much any casual clothes.

I’ve also just spent another £52 on a plain white pair with no stripe, just plain white Vans. Why did I do that? Because I want to and I can afford to.

Personally don’t give a flying fart what anyone thinks of my footwear , I wear Vans and have done since the late 90’s , I wear converse, I also wear ugg boots and doc martins .
