Putting bins out yesterday and noticed there were about 30 fag butts in my front garden and on my windowsill.
Only small front garden, mid-terrace 1800's house.
Have noticed one tenant leaning out of the downstairs window to smoke before but didn't realise they were discarding butts in my garden!
I texted the landlord, he said he would get the tenant to remove them, and they did.
I have noticed where they have landed, still alight, on my windowsill there are scorch marks in the paintwork.
WIBU to ask the landlord to get the tenant to clean/somehow remove these marks, or put the windowsill back to how it was, i.e. paint it if they can't.
I have lived in my house for 15 years, and in that time the tenants have burnt my fence down, had all night parties, and the police have been called numerous times. All different tenants, so whenever there is a problem it does frustrate me.
The landlord is generally okay, and when I do contact him he does fix things pretty quickly.
Whilst it is only a 'small thing' his tenant has damaged my property, and it will be something I have to fix if they don't...
