To hate home made gifts!

Christmas is approaching and no doubt one of us will end up with some sort of home made crap gift 🙄

Am I the only one who hates anything hand made? They usually look shit and just add to clutter!

I'd love to see any decent homemade gifts anyone has received, if they're brave enough to share a photo? Grin I doubt there's many that will change my opinion.

@stuckinarutwithyou, what an amazing blanket! Thanks for sharing the pattern, I might try it when I'm retired Grin, I think it would take me years!

I've got some lovely juice, pressed from apples from my garden, and I make a nice strawberry jam - we go and pick the strawberries in July and I make enough jam to last the year. People often ask me for more. I'm giving these to teachers as gifts.

I am doing some basic crochet blankets at the moment, but donating them to the local animal rescue, whom I know will be grateful Grin.

I would not make anything other than for a friend who asks for some of my scented candles which I make in the slow cooker. I think you have to know the person extremely well to make gifts for them, eg I dislike gin and vodka so would have zero interest in a bottle with added stuff like fruit and would not appreciate anyone mucking about with my single malt whisky.
