Suspicious apps, Help!!

I have my partners old iPhone, I've had it for about a year or so.
I was updating some apps and came across 'purchases' which I've never seen before so was just scrolling through.
These apps were on there right at the bottom, I've never downloaded them.

There's no other explanation right?

You need iOS 13, not sure which phone you have but I think iPhone 6S (and more recent releases) are supported

aceyace · 29/11/2019 12:36

On the App Store the POF version 11 says 4 months ago

poorstudent1010 · 29/11/2019 12:38

This was the 1st Iphone he had and he upgraded to a new one so I got this one.

The apps were downloaded between when he got this phone to when he gave it to you, if that helps you narrow down a time frame

RogueV · 29/11/2019 12:45

One thing to consider is that a lot of games require you to download apps for credits, so bear that in mind.

Also what about your son?

Mnhealththrowawatx · 29/11/2019 12:48

If he was cheating, I’m surprised Tinder isn’t on the list as that’s the most popular dating app. It’s weird that Grindr is there as it’s supposed to be the gay version of Tinder

carolina21 · 29/11/2019 13:24

Yes Grinder is for gay or trans
That is a lot dating apps and a lot of curiosity

poorstudent1010 · 29/11/2019 13:34

App store shows the date an app was initially downloaded/purchased, NOT the date it was most recently installed as someone else said. He could have uninstalled and re-downloaded any of the apps over the years but the first ever download is the only date shown. So I’m not sure how useful the date is.

It’s ordered from most recent initial download at the top to oldest at the bottom. So if these dating apps are at the bottom, it’s likely to coincide with the time he first bought the phone. Especially if other apps that you know he used when he first bought his phone are listed next to the dating apps like WhatsApp/social media, banking/PayPal etc.

Rosepetals30 · 29/11/2019 14:12

It all stacks up as being worrying

Like a PP said, a lot of these apps did not exist 10 years ago.

If you know how long he had that iPhone , or even the model, it would narrow it down

Countryescape · 29/11/2019 15:21

Doesn’t sound great. Especially Grindr....

LissJas · 29/11/2019 15:41

Yeah, sorry OP, this looks like recent activity.

Squoozie · 29/11/2019 15:41

You must be both using the same Apple ID to be able to see apps he's downloaded? You'd normally do a complete reset of an iPhone to pass it on to someone else, which would erase everything, including all purchased apps from the App Store.

ALongHardWinter · 30/11/2019 19:00

POF - first came out 2003
SayHi - 2009
Lovoo -2011
MeetMe - 2011
Badoo - 2006
Jaumo -2011

Hi OP,

I just had an issue with an app purchase & found this link:

support.apple.com/en-au/HT204084

Basically sign into the reportaproblem link with your Apple ID and click on invoices - it will show the dates every purchase was made, which means you don’t need to update your device.

Oh and “purchase” includes every free app download too
