How do you eat Weetabix?

I like to eat 2 Weetabix with warm milk which has been heated in the microwave. I wait until it's soggy so it's a porridge like consistency. I don't add anything else.

I've always eaten it like this, couldn't eat it any other way.

Is this odd? How do you eat yours?

With butter and jam

dynami · 28/11/2019 09:54

(I’m not a psychopath, honest)

GiveHerHellFromUs · 28/11/2019 09:55

Two weetabix with milk and sugar, in the microwave for 2 and a half minutes, another light sugar coating. Mmm!

GiveHerHellFromUs · 28/11/2019 09:56

@Jeezoh yeah yoghurt with fresh fruit is good!

Or hot water and honey

SalemSpellman · 28/11/2019 09:56

With hot water and a tiny amount of sugar.

Boobahs · 28/11/2019 09:59

2 (or 3 depending how hungry I am Blush), ice cold milk, sugar on if I'm being naughty, banana on if not. Not too much milk, just enough so there's no crispy edges but not too much so there's spare milk.

I don't like warm milk, unless it's in a hot chocolate!

OlaEliza · 28/11/2019 10:17

Out of packet into bowl.

Make eggs and bacon.

Eat eggs and bacon.

Pour wheetabix into bin.

They are vile and so bad for you. Eat keto.

SerenDippitty · 28/11/2019 10:21

I fancy trying weetabix but don’t like milk, would it work with yoghurt?

Yes I think so, especially Greek yogurt.

This morning I had 2 oatibix with some honey scraped on, sprinkle of pumpkin/sunflower seeds, few blueberries and cold milk. I like it still with a bit of crunch.

Iwillbemrsminty · 28/11/2019 10:34

My late DF always had weetabix with butter (salted of course) slathered on it Grin have to admit it's very nice! Otherwise warmed with milk in microwave so soggy and a few grains of sugar.

Whattodoabout · 28/11/2019 10:36

Same as you but with sugar.

ineedto · 28/11/2019 10:39

With butter

AuntieMarys · 28/11/2019 10:41

Never.
My ds used to have 9 a day....3 at breakfast, 3 when he got home from school and 3 for supper. In fairness he is 6 feet 3.

Pizzaformytea · 28/11/2019 10:42

Not had them in years, but I used to eat them with butter and sugar sprinkled on the top. I didn't like them with milk, and just had sugar until my Dad suggested I use butter to stop the sugar falling off...

Pascha · 28/11/2019 10:43

Sometimes I spread blueberry jam on and eat them dry.

Mostly though, I eat two with ice cold milk as soon as it goes on so it doesn't go soggy. Mushy weetabix is disgusting.

JassyRadlett · 28/11/2019 10:45

I’m glad to see that my MIL is not the only (lovely) nutter who thought it was ok to put butter or jam on dry weetabix. My husband calmly told me about this one day as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 28/11/2019 10:47

Same as you OP

But I eat 3

Bojangles33 · 28/11/2019 10:48

BUTTER?!
How?!
I need more information.

Ice cold milk straight from the fridge, pour over weetabix then flip the bix so they have milk in all parts but aren't soggy. Eat fast. I like a bit of crunch.

LangCleg · 28/11/2019 10:48

Mash banana in cereal bowl. Plonk two Weetabix on top. Pour over hot milk. Stir.

The evil harpies on FWR call this WBH (Weetabix Banana Horror) and mock me. But I remain undeterred. This is the correct and only breakfast for the Supreme Ruler of the Full Matriarchy (me).

Bojangles33 · 28/11/2019 10:49

@OlaEliza how are they "bad" for you?

Emmacb82 · 28/11/2019 10:49

2 weetabix pour milk on, in the microwave for a minute, stir until looks like baby food, add sugar and eat!

Scarlettpixie · 28/11/2019 10:54

I have 2 usually with ice cold milk. I put a bit of sugar on after the milk so I can still get the crunch. I eat it quick before it goes soggy.

I also like it straight from the packet with butter on. Usually for a snack/supper rather than breakfast though :)

As a child I ate it with warm milk stirred up like porridge with a sprinkle of sugar. I am not keen on it that way now though. .

Velveteenfruitbowl · 28/11/2019 10:58

I used to eat them like that in my childhood. No longer eat them due to the duvet content sadly.

Bluepeg · 28/11/2019 10:59

HAS to be lashes of cold milk, and sprinkling of sugar.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 28/11/2019 10:59

With a spoon

Twatwaffles · 28/11/2019 11:02

In porridge form with a bit of sugar.
