Would you drive with a pinched nerve in your neck?

I’m in agony and can’t turn my head to the right. I feel like I shouldn’t drive or do I need to just suck it up?

Don't drive if you can't check what's to your right. Why would you?

CherryPavlova · 28/11/2019 08:26

I’d take some ibruprofen and suck it up. It will pass and whilst turning a head can be uncomfortable it passes soon enough.

You can't turn your head, of course you shouldn't drive Confused

That's not even something you should be questioning!

SoupDragon · 28/11/2019 08:28

That depends on how far to the right you can see - often you can see more than enough by moving your eyes when your neck is turned as far as you can or by turning your upper body. I've had to do it many times!

If you don't need to drive then don't though.

GiveHerHellFromUs · 28/11/2019 08:30

@SoupDragon it depends where OP is driving. If it's on roads that merge or motorways or dual carriageways she needs to be able to see round to her blind spot

Blueflowersox · 28/11/2019 08:34

Thanks, yeah I’m not comfortable driving. Bus it is!

You should absolutely not drive if you cannot turn your head in one direction. Your head needs examining for even posing the question.

"I’m not comfortable driving."
It isn't about you. It's about the safety of all other road users.

nespressowoo · 28/11/2019 08:38

I had this a few weeks ago. My neck was incredibly painful. I couldn't turn it without squealing. I tried to drive but couldn't even bend down to get in the car. Hope you're better soonThanks

Blueflowersox · 28/11/2019 08:44

@TheMidasTouch calm down - that’s why the next part of my post said I’d be getting the bus
