Boris’ deal is an agreement to do some further agreeing. Agreeing a ‘deal’ simply fires the starting gun on decades of expensive and time-consuming negotiations on various fronts.

Austerity was a response to the financial crisis which was caused by HSBC USA and the big US banks selling huge amounts of bad US mortgage debt into funds around the world without clearly labelling it. How did the David Cameron, whose family made their money via HSBC shares respond? By nationalising banks.

They believe in nationalising when it lines their pockets or benefits their benefactors. But somehow Labour wanting to do the same with Rail is a bad thing??

But there would be higher living wage and higher provision of free childcare (all 2 yr olds getting 30 hrs free a week, approx £200 a week).

Given that the purpose of the marriage allowance (max £250 per year) was to support families with part time working parents and minimum wage workers the new allowances would mitigate the loss of marriage allowance, while opening up more support for single parents and low earning couples.

Japan is proof that austerity doesn’t work. Countries need to spend themselves out of recessions and yet the Tories failed to learn basic fucking Economics lessons
