To spend THIS much on a haircut?!

Do you think £79 is too much to spend on one haircut?

I've lost count of the disappointing, bad cuts I've paid for; my hair is really tricky and many stylists just don't do a good job. So for years I asked my non hairdresser DH to cut it and patted myself on the back for saving money.

Anyway, I won a runner up prize in a local raffle last spring; a haircut at the very posh salon in town, and I had the most amazing haircut by the salon owner. My hair looked amazing for a couple of months as it grew, it still looked great.

It's looking shit again now, and I looked up the cost of seeing the same hairdresser - it's just shy of £80. Another member of staff at the same salon would be £45-50.

What would you do? I can afford it, but I find it very, very hard to spend money on myself without good reason.

It is a lot for a haircut. However, think about it in the context of how much you budget to spend on yourself. £80 for two months is only a tenner a week.

Think how much you have saved to now, and now want to spend.

@Brimful my hairdresser does such a superb job on my hair that I only visit him every 5-6 months! I feel its well worth the £60 each cut and blow dry costs me and I have never walked out of the salon without feeling like a million dollars Grin

My exH used to have his (rapidly thinning) hair trimmed every four weeks at a cost of £12 a time - we worked out that he spent more than me on his hair in a year Grin
