AIBU to want a pair of knickers, be it thong, bikini, g-string, hipster, or boy shorts, that are cut so that my labia aren’t roaming free outside the edge? I have lost weight, whereas I used to be a 14/16 and said labia used to fit inside my larger sized underwear, apparently now that I am a size 10-12, I should have lost some of that weight from my nether regions too? I purchased my first set of 10-12 knickers today, hipster style, Apparently my below bits are still a size 16 and no amount of tucking and folding would get them to fit into the gusset!! The shop has a no refund policy. FFS.

Would that shop be primark? Because I have that problem with their knickers.

GrumpyHoonMain · 26/11/2019 16:51

No knickers are perfect, just get a larger size or a ‘granny style’ type that has more coverage.

ActualHornist · 26/11/2019 16:53

This sounds like a crossover episode from the thread about the song “do your ears hang low” except it’s not ears...Grin

I jest OP, as a fat bugger I haven’t noticed this tho!

Doggodogington · 26/11/2019 16:56

No Flava it wasn’t but I guess I won’t be shopping there either! They aren’t even that big! Not like abnormally big so that I’ve noticed anyway.

I definitely can’t tie them in a knot OR a bow.

Uniqlo

I can not recommend them enough. Maybe not the “seamfree” ones but the cotton ones are amazing.

Owlypants · 26/11/2019 17:11

Start shopping in the mens bit. Theres nothing worse than free range labia grating on Jeans. I've never found comfy knickers that hold everything in when looking in the womens department. I'm currently wearing some comfy mens cookie monster knickers with my labia all tucked in

IncyWincyGrownUp · 26/11/2019 17:22

While they’re at it can they have a word with the bra department? Large of boob people like colour too, and something that isn’t black, white, or beige would be very welcome.

DontCallMeShitley · 26/11/2019 17:26

Much as I hate to admit it, I have M&S midi knickers and they don't do this but they are man made fibre and they make my trousers slip down.

Also have Asda ones which are OK in that department but they creep up my arse because the backside is cut too high.

You need a different style. Or take a tape measure when you shop and check the width. I have spent many an hour holding identically sized knickers against each other to avoid buying the ones that are not the size on the label (M&S) because they varied so much. ASDA are like this too, different colours in a pack are smaller that the others.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 26/11/2019 17:29

@IncyWincyGrownUp try Tesco Florence & Fred bras - pretty, some go up to a G cup. I find they fit quite nicely too.

666onmyhead · 26/11/2019 17:44

Omg !!! This had me wincing ! Try Sloggi the shortie types are great !

LakieLady · 26/11/2019 17:55

I'm rather taken with Sainsburys knickers. They're comfortable, wash well, and seem to last forever, and the gussets are a decent width.

And they're cheap as chips!

I wear these for work, they don't end up creeping up your crack and they really are no VPL.

Siameasy · 26/11/2019 17:57

I recommend “home made” ones on Etsy. They’re normally called scrundies. They keep everything in 😳

Doggodogington · 26/11/2019 18:03

Scrundies 😂 I’m off to have a look at them. I’m definitely going to be shopping around, that’ll teach me.

MerryDeath · 26/11/2019 18:04

scrundies 😄

i had all but given up finding comfy undies until i bought h&m maternity pants. i think I'm going to be wearing them forever!!

ArlenesWoodBurningStove · 26/11/2019 18:19

Sloggi are what you want. Good minge coverage.

churchandstate · 26/11/2019 18:20

I buy Tu knickers and don’t have this issue (and I am not thin).

Bigpaintinglittlepainting · 26/11/2019 18:22

Grin this made me laugh, I’m an 8-10 and have to be super careful where I knicker shop. Only really M&S can contain my labia Shock

Twigletgirl27 · 26/11/2019 18:22

I second Sloggis. Nothing escapes and they don't end up rolling down (I'm looking at you M&S knickers 😡)

Poppins2016 · 26/11/2019 18:24

Another vote for Tu by Sainsbury's. I find their bikini and Brazilian style knickers very comfortable.

MitziK · 26/11/2019 18:28

Whilst you're at it, could they please make plus size knickers that don't embed themselves directly underneath the bit of loose skin that many of us have from a Caesarian birth? Without making them bloody polonecked in the process?

I don't want knickers that are nearer my bra strap than they are my arse, but I do want something that doesn't cause grazes on the fucking scar.

selfhelpneeded · 26/11/2019 18:28

You need sloggi. Best pants ever. Full brief.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 28/11/2019 01:57

CoffeeBeans I’m a J cup and need a 38/40 back depending on the style and fit. It’s deathly boring at this end of the boob scale. Sad

Redcherries · 28/11/2019 06:59

I just up size. I’m a large 10 to a 12, currently more 12, opps. I buy size 14 pants. I do have a rather large bottom though 😁

Redcherries · 28/11/2019 07:02

@MitziK I don’t have a c section scar, but I know exactly the cut you mean. It’s like it was invented to highlight a tummy, really unflattering. I have scars effected by bra cuts (sadly not a boob job) and it’s such an irritating feeling.
