Labour. Some of Labour's policies are a bit batshit but as they won't get a majority it doesn't matter as if they lead a minority government they'll have to ditch the extreme elements of the manifesto.

My vote is as much anti Tory as pro Labour this time and I would vote Lib Dem if lived in a Con/LDem margibal but I think Labour are closer here.

I despise what the Tories have done to public services in the last 9 years and the misery it's caused - in particular social care, which is the sector I work in. Personally I would happily pay more tax for solid public services - better use of my money than spending it on pointless stuff anyway.

Other major factor is I could never vote for a man who tried to avoid responsibility for supporting his own child. Boris Johnson is the lowest of the low in my opinion - a moral vacuum - and in no way fit to be PM.

Meggie2008 · 25/11/2019 22:17

Labour.
Voting conservative in Scotland is a no no, Boris is a danger to this country.
Over my dead body would I ever vote SNP. Sturgeon is a parasite and an even bigger danger to this country than bloody Boris.
Lib Dems are a car crash.

Merename · 25/11/2019 22:22

Labour. I adore Corbyn - he actually cares about people. Its so sad to be living in times where we have the opportunity of an actual principled politician as prime minister, and that’s the person that so many people say they hate. Watch him and listen to what he says, rather than adopt what the media tells you to think of him. People think they don’t do this, but you hear a message enough times, it gets into your thinking.

I’m Scottish and pro independence, and find it hard to be supportive of Scottish Labour, who are useless, but I feel too concerned about the welfare of everyone in the UK not to feel a responsibility to vote labour. I do rate SNP but the opportunity of Corbyn as PM can’t be passed by without a good shot.

But kinda feel win/win as if Labour win, wonderful, and if Tories win, we will get independence eventually.

Greatorb · 25/11/2019 22:22

Voting labour because typically they tend to invest in the NHS, which means more orders for me thus securing my job and bonuses.

EffervescentElephant · 25/11/2019 22:24

Labour

...because in the words of that philosopher, Bridget Jones, it is "perfectly obvious that Labour stands for sharing, kindness, gays, single mothers and Nelson Mandela as opposed to braying bossy men having affairs with everyone shag shag shag left right and centre and going to the Ritz in Paris then telling all the presenters off on the Today programme. And that it is important to vote for the principle of the thing, not on the itsy bitsy details about this per cent or that per cent."

KittyMarmalade · 25/11/2019 22:24

Labour here too. Tactically really, as I'm not enamoured with everything about them, but anything is better than the Tories, and quite simply they're more likely to win here than anyone else.
Quite apart from Brexit, NHS, the economy, I feel terrified of the direction the Tories have taken this country in, especially in the last four months. I think the manipulation / deception of the public since Johnson and Cummings came to lead the government is really sinister.

SouthWestmom · 25/11/2019 22:24

Lib Dem
Or conservative - pretty safe conservative seat and our mp has been personally helpful.

Always voted labour or libdem but cannot stand the divisive slogan and attitude of Corbin - 'for the many not the few' is fine as a dig at the Tories but when you lump people on £80k in with them elite few' you look a little politics of envy.

giggly · 25/11/2019 22:25

SNP as unlike pp I don’t believe that Nicola Sturgeon is a parasiteHmm
I’m not in it for an Independent Scotland necessarily but rather I believe that Scotland has been shafted by both Labour and Tories for long enough and I do believe that SNO are doing a good enough job and I do believe that NS is a good politician.

sallyedmondson · 25/11/2019 22:25

Surfskatefamily
Labour did not introduce the bedroom tax. It was the coalition of Tory and Lib Dems. Get your facts right.

CFR8 · 25/11/2019 22:30

Conservative for the first time after many years of Labour voting.

Lots of reasons.

Whatafustercluck · 25/11/2019 22:35

Labour. Don't much like Corbyn but it's Labour or Tory here and I despise everything about what the Tories stand for and everything they've become under Johnson. They were bad before, but they're fucking hideous now. I'd vote LibDem if I lived in a Tory/ LibDem marginal.

Hingeandbracket · 25/11/2019 22:36

Spoiling my ballot.
No party is worth my vote.
I have voted Labour, Green and Lib Dem in the past, but none of them appeals this time and I wouldn't consider voting Tory or Brexit party.
We need electoral reform.

cherryblossomgin · 25/11/2019 22:37

Labour, I like them this time round. I think it's the best chance to get Conservative out. I was SNP vote for years but I feel like they are too focused on indyref2.

LAlady · 25/11/2019 22:37

Definitely not Conservative after voting for them before. I hate the way the party has gone and I despise Boris Johnson, the biggest liar in politics (and that's saying something).

MsAnnThropic · 25/11/2019 22:40

Labour. Because I like my children.

Hingeandbracket · 25/11/2019 22:42

Surely spoiling your ballots won’t change anything, can’t you hold your nose and vote the least bad option to keep the worst option out?
Voting for any of the shower of cunts on offer won't change anything I really care about though, it will be back to business as fucking usual. I don't want to vote for someone because they are slightly less of cunt than the alternative - that's how we arrived at this shitty point.

Lolimax · 25/11/2019 22:43

Labour. I fear the end of NHS as we know it otherwise.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 25/11/2019 22:44

Labour as I want Conservative out (in a very safe Labour seat though so probably doesn't matter which way I vote!)

copperstrike76 · 25/11/2019 22:46

Lib Dem. Partly because in my constituency, the Lib Dem guy is the only candidate that I think would come close to unseating current Tory MP (Jeremy Fucking Hunt). But also because the candidate seems like a really good guy, is very involved locally (he's a councillor), a visible presence in the area (unlike Hunt) and seems to genuinely care about important local issues. I hope he wins. I don't think he will, as we are in a safe Tory seat. I neither love nor hate Corbyn but I'd definitely prefer him to Boris and I'd take Labour over the Tories any day.

Boulshired · 25/11/2019 22:46

I am politically homeless, whilst I have come close to voting Tory have never been able to once in the booth. The problem I have is that I live in a Tory strong hold sandwiched between two labour councils. I have a disabled child and have seen the cuts from the Tory government but my local Tory council is much more generous in provision compared to the neighbouring labour councils. The idea of labour taking over the council scares me for the provisions for my DS.

Bintheredunthat · 25/11/2019 22:47

Labour, because I want to live in a fairer society where children aren’t living in poverty, food banks don’t exist, old people aren’t dying of hypothermia, a good quality free education is available to all, disabled people get the support they need, there’s an end to homelessness, children with SEN can get the support they need, we have an effective police force and we have a strong, properly funded NHS.

Sadly I have had an awful lot of contact with the NHS this year whilst my DD fought breast cancer.
The NHS saved her life and seeing the dedication of the NHS staff to the care of their patients all whilst working under the most appalling pressures caused by underfunding & lack of staff & beds is truly humbling.
The NHS is not safe in the Tories hands, the last 9 years have proved that.
The NHS is begging us to vote Labour as are teachers, police & fire service.
We are the 5th richest economy in the world, there is no excuse for the level of deprivation there is amongst the most vulnerable in our society.
I am more than happy to pay more tax to help the poor, who would begrudge a few pounds a month?

I believe that all the smears, lies & social media manipulation by the Tories has backfired on them, 2 people have told me this week that the ‘fake’ Twitter account & ‘fake’ Labour manifesto page put up by the Tories to mislead the public was the last straw for them as far as trusting the Tories goes & they are now going to be voting Labour.

SlothOfSluggishness · 25/11/2019 22:52

I like my labour MP so I will be voting for her.

Bat3 · 25/11/2019 22:53

Labour - because I am a teacher and have seen the damage the Conservatives have caused in education and with low income families. Disgraceful.

Krisskrosskiss · 25/11/2019 22:57

Labour. I want to see more spending on public services. My husband works for the NHS and I did too before having children... I cant see the NHS surviving as free at point of access under the tories...
I'd be interested to see if the labour party can bring dentistry back to free check ups... I also like their free broadband idea, I feel it would really benefit people who struggle.
I'm very worried about tory lack of focus on social care... I think life stands to get very difficult for many people if the tories stay in.
I might gave voted green if I'd thought they had a real chance... I'd never vote lib dem because I do not trust them to not form a coalition with the conservatives and if they did I dont trust them to oppose the conservatives enough.

I did vote remain in the referendum but if we have to leave the eu I'd rather do it under a labour government who will hopefully protect workers rights as a priority.

Renoirsdancer · 25/11/2019 22:58

Sometimes I hate mn because I come on here and see these replies and start to believe there might actually be a chance to get the tories out. Then I go back to the real world and realise that the tory scumbags have somehow managed to convince millions of people to vote for them and will most likely get a large majority. You build me up... Angry

Labour for me if it wasn't obvious Grin
