Probably Labour as a tactical vote for them seems the best option to try and make an impression on the large majority the Conservatives get in this constituency.

I'm half tempted to vote Green though, as we have a candidate standing here this time (didn't last time).

curlykaren · 25/11/2019 21:53

@Surfskatefamily I very much look forward to you sharing with all the sources that have led you to believe that a labour government introduced bedroom tax and tuition fees 🤔

kikisparks · 25/11/2019 21:54

SNP

I want independence (especially if this current right wing crew stays in power in Westminster)
I’m a remainer
I’m left wing but can compromise for now with centre left policies
I really don’t want Jo Swinson as my MP

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 25/11/2019 21:56

curlykaren Labour introduced tuition fees.

MaMaMaMySharona · 25/11/2019 21:57

Also for anyone voting Labour who needs some faith that we might have a chance - this graph shows what the polls were predicting vs the actual result in the last election. We’ve had 2 more years of shit from the Tories since then, hundreds of thousands of new young voters...fingers crossed

fedup21 · 25/11/2019 21:57

Labour

Livelovebehappy · 25/11/2019 21:57

Amazed at how many people on here are voting Labour, but saying they don’t trust or they dislike Cornyn. Surely the two go hand in hand? If you like the manifesto you would need to trust the leader to deliver it otherwise what’s the point? No one saying the same about voting Tory.

TimeTravellingDiamond · 25/11/2019 21:57

I don't know how anyone can describe voting Tory as the only sane vote Confused Boris fucking Johnson?!

But tbh they are all an absolute shit show. Every last one of them.

I hate the Tories, hate austerity, what they have done to the poorest and most vulnerable is an absolute disgrace. All the stuff all the time about how Labour destroy the country and the tories are forced to cut back because of it is a load of bollocks. When labour are in they have to spend to make up for the tories running everything into the ground and destroying public services.

But labour at the moment are absolutely appalling, Corbyn is an egotistical fucking narcissist who won't step aside for someone who might actually stand a chance of being elected. It shows how completely useless as an opposition they are that they aren't wiping the floor with the Tories who have destroyed the country with austerity and brexit.

Lib Dem's are just a joke who I can't be bothered to talk about.

I was going to vote labour even know I think they're terrible and corbyn is awful, because they aren't quite as bad as the tories and Bozo. I could never vote for the tories, i I would feel dirty. But I also refuse to vote for any party who wants to erode women's rights to safe segregated spaces. So the Lib Dem's can fuck right off. And labour are barely any better.

I don't see I have a choice but to spoil my ballot paper and I will be writing protect women's rights all over it.

kikisparks · 25/11/2019 21:58

@curlykaren apparently they did introduce tuition fees (I just looked it up) but they were £1000 a year in 1998. With inflation that would have been £1490 in 2012. The coalition Government raised them to £9250 in 2012.

GinUnicorn · 25/11/2019 21:58

Lib Dem

WiddlinDiddlin · 25/11/2019 21:59

Labour, my local candidate seems a good egg and I feel represents my feelings fairly accurately.

This has been a Tory seat for nearly 10 years with Harriet Baldwin, who absolutely in no way represents me at all, particular as a person with disabilities, given her voting record on disability issues.

Im not particularly pro Corbyn (nor particularly anti), but I am extremely anti BoJo and Baldwin and not thrilled with any of the others either!

kikisparks · 25/11/2019 22:00

Surely spoiling your ballots won’t change anything, can’t you hold your nose and vote the least bad option to keep the worst option out?

MetallicHighlights · 25/11/2019 22:02

Labour. I work in a primary school. We had to lose 10 members of staff last year. We’re in a pretty socially deprived area. Teachers are spending a fortune on “luxuries” like crayons and books for their classes. The leadership team are paying from their own pockets to run a breakfast club for children who would otherwise go without till lunch. Kids who desperately need it have had their support slashed. 2/3 of learning mentor time has gone.

There’s also DD, still on an NHS waiting list for counselling following a horribly traumatic event in her teens, a year and two overdoses later. And don’t get me started on the monthly fight to get her the right universal credit payment, while working every hour she can get on zero hour contracts and minimum wage. And certainly don’t get me started on Brexit.

So many young people who don’t deserve another five years of austerity.

Ellie56 · 25/11/2019 22:03

Anybody but Lying Bozo and the twat Tories. Angry

BroomstickOfLove · 25/11/2019 22:04

Green, because I like them the best. I live in a safe ylabour seat, so my vote doesn't really matter all that much anyway. I voted Labour last time, but my MP voted against legalising abortion in NI and abstained on same sex marriage, which lost my vote.

curlykaren · 25/11/2019 22:05

@kikisparks you are soooo right slopes off with very red face

RunningNinja79 · 25/11/2019 22:06

Haven't a fucking clue. Live in a very strong Tory area anyway so wont make a bit of difference, but will make me feel a bit better to know I tried to have my say.

Have voted Labour and Lib Dems in the past. Right now I have no faith in any of them.

DaphneduM · 25/11/2019 22:07

Labour. For proper funding of public services, after the Tories have deliberately run them into the ground under their guise of 'austerity'.

RibenaMonsoon · 25/11/2019 22:08

Conservative.
Myself and DH are self employed. The changes Corbyn is promising just aren't realistically do able. If they were they would put thousands of people out of jobs, including ourselves.
My vote is to ensure he absolutely doesn't get in.

Shehz21 · 25/11/2019 22:10

Labour. Our local Labour MP is brilliant.
And strangely I do like Corbyn.

My household and DHs household a total of 20 people are all unanimously voting for labour this time. Many votes from DHs side swapping from Torys to Labour so that makes me happySmile

colouringinpro · 25/11/2019 22:11

Ribena

Corbyn hasn't got a hope of a majority. But another Tory government?! Will be end end of the NHS and a significant risk of a no-deal Brexit which will totally screw our economy.

Changingchanging123 · 25/11/2019 22:12

LibDem. I now live in a conservative super safe seat. So can Vote for who I want. They aren’t perfect but for me Brexit is no 1 issue.

Am really glad I no longer live in a Labour/Conservative marginal and don’t have to make a super difficult decision.

Am really hoping for a hung parliament - I don’t want either of our main parties have a majority and think a minority government would give all our politicians a kick to the backside.

iabvvu · 25/11/2019 22:12

Labour for so many reasons. I'm voting tactically to try to unseat our truly awful Tory MP, but also because I firmly believe in the labour manifesto and have enormous faith in Jeremy Corbyn to deliver it. I also work for the NHS so a conservative majority would be devastating. This election is so important, I feel so nervous about it. I'm really hoping that people see sense and do the right thing 🌹

EngTech · 25/11/2019 22:12

I don’t trust any of them so will vote but spoil my ballot paper

fedup21 · 25/11/2019 22:13

My household and DHs household a total of 20 people

That’s a big household!
