Labour
Because lying, cheating, self-absorbed Johnson curdles my blood.
And because I want a 2nd Ref and because a Johnson government will sell the UK out for any tatty deal going.

Surfskatefamily · 25/11/2019 21:08

Conservative. I've voted differently before but I believe this is right for right now

I cant vote green as as much as I want to they take an immense amount of funding away from healthcare and education

Lib dems is a wasted vote in my area and also I want Brexit

Brexit party I cant vote for as they are too extremist.

Labour claim to be for the lower earners in society yet created bedroom tax, tuition fees, zero hour contracts. They are also financially irresponsible so I cannot vote for them at the moment.

meow1989 · 25/11/2019 21:09

Labour, despite not having much faith in Corbyn. I have always voted labour previously but probably for with Lib Dem policies best (despite Jo Swinsons horrific voting record), however in my area it's a two horse race between conservative and labour with our current labour candidate winning by mere hundreds last election so I'm voting tactically.

PooWillyBumBum · 25/11/2019 21:09

Labour, because my MP - Steve Baker - is a prick and I’ll do anything to help dislodge him.

anonnancy · 25/11/2019 21:11

Probably labour because I work for the NHS.

I'm just not a big fan of Corbyn!

Labour. Have always voted Labour & was a Party Member but left & ripped up my membership card because of Corbyn, Momentum & anti-semitism. I vowed I wouldn't vote for Corbyn but in my constituency it's Labour v Conservative (standing Labour Corbynite MP) as Lib Dems & Green both standing. I'm holding my nose as I see Johnson as a real danger. He only cares about Johnson.

user1471448556 · 25/11/2019 21:15

Labour. Tactical vote to stop the Tory Brexiter candidate. Labour candidate has also been a good MP. Would probably prefer to be voting Lib Dem but it’s a wasted vote in my constituency

Paintedmaypole · 25/11/2019 21:18

Labour. I think Corbyn's stance on Brexit is the most sensible. You can't just ignore the referendum result like the Libdems however much you want to remain and if Johnson drags us out with his oven ready deal half the population will be hugely resentful. The polarisation needs to be healed. Also thinking of a fairer society and the future of the NHS.

Asthenia · 25/11/2019 21:18

Labour, because I think Corbyn is wonderful. People keep lamenting the loss of the wonderful Labour Party but I and everyone I know were completely apathetic before. Corbyn came in and offered real hope. I would never not vote Labour though.

QuietlyFuming · 25/11/2019 21:18

Conservative

LadyFuchsiaGroan · 25/11/2019 21:18

Labour. The current governments record is shocking.

Violetparis · 25/11/2019 21:19

Labour, want the Tories out.

flopsytheflatcat · 25/11/2019 21:20

Labour because I value the NHS

Flowersaremylove · 25/11/2019 21:20

Labour

Because I’m not a twat

colouringinpro · 25/11/2019 21:23

More reasons to Not vote Tory

General Election....who are you voting for and why?
hammeringinmyhead · 25/11/2019 21:25

Labour this time. They always come second in my constituency to a Tory MP who has been in for a million years but never mind.

PumpkinP · 25/11/2019 21:27

Labour.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 25/11/2019 21:27

Well! I wish I knew!

Local incumbent is Tory, made a half hearted attempt at Leadership.

We have a Green, he seems emminently fluffy, kind to boars, pine martens and other foresty furry critters. I may be wrong about him but as every Green link to him is broken I can't be certain! Oh look! He wants to make me proud of where I live, cos it is green and wonderful!

We have a Labour lady. Committed to being local. She wants to build a lot of new houses in that green and wonderful space and seems not to have fully comprehended the legalities of building into a Forest! So she will have to be pushing new builds into the small town I live in... where the roads and other infrastructure simply will not be able to cope. There is no scope for new roads, we are bound by rivers and forest and the one road out is already woefully inadequate, anyone else spend 2 1/2 hours to drive 7 miles for the past month?

An Independent whose whole schtick is he is local and his wife is lovely and his dog takes him out for walkies. He wants everything to be decided by reforenda!

Another Independent who is just a name, a very Not Local name.

Brexit and LibDem's stood down.

And a closer look at the up to date info tells me that the 2 Independent's won't be on the ballot!

So The Tory or 2 locals with little to recommend them. The Labour 'build 'em all houses of their own' simply cannot work round here and the Green party should be a walk over, given the geography - but unemployment is high, socio economic deprivation is high, literacy low and many local people want to be treated with as much respect as the local wildlife!

Which leaves us with good old Marky Mark!

I said I'd vote for the candidate with one solid local issue. Sadly I don't have one. So what the hell do I do?

thepeopleversuswork · 25/11/2019 21:29

Labour. With something of a heavy heart. Because I don’t trust Corbyn, think he’s fairly extremist and his economics policies are badly thought through, I am disturbed by the antisemitism stuff and the Brexit business.

But the Tories are greedy, cynical bastards who are doing things on a daily basis to make the lives of the vulnerable harder and to corrupt our society. LibDems and Greens are off the map where I live. So it’s hold your nose and vote for Corbyn.

SNP, because I'm in Scotland and I can

Loodally · 25/11/2019 21:33

Labour. My local Labour MP is good, unlike our former Conservative MP who was practically invisible.
Absolutely no way would I vote Conservative and I don't understand how anyone else can.
I used to work in a Tory council-run care home. I've seen the cutbacks first hand, a budget of £2.80 to feed a service user for the day.. that's for breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper, snacks and drinks for 24 hours.
Staff hours cut until 1 staff member was doing the job of 3 people. Not having the money to replace a carpet when a patient with dementia had repeatedly urinated over it.
The difference between working for a Labour council and a Conservative one was huge and one of the reasons I quit.

Vgbeat · 25/11/2019 21:33

Labour. For the reasons that I am sick of seeing funding cuts in our schools, it's ridiculous that they have to choose between books ands jobs. Where I live is one of the worst funded areas in the postcode lottery that is funding and we are getting cuts again. Also my local MP who I have not always seen eye to eye with when he was a local councillor I must say has been doing a really good job and is much better Tory predecessor who didn't even live in the constituency. I also don't want to see the NHS being sold off piece by piece.

Skyejuly · 25/11/2019 21:33
