To say that the minutes seem eternal at this hour (and ask who’s up)

Hi all,
I’m staying with my grandparents and wakened up at 03.55 and have been awake ever since. I wakened at 03.55, waited until 04.00 to get out of bed, came into the kitchenette and poured a drink, went back into the bedroom for my phone, came back to the kitchenette and sat down at the table where I still am. It feels like an eternity since I woke up, so I’m starting this thread for some chat.

No repercussions from Grandad, think he’s too tired to care😂

I got up and made soup. Saves me arseing about for lunches at work this week.
I got showered/dressed. Pottered about then this afternoon thought I'd catch up on some things I'd recorded. I didn't get far and woke up on the sofa at 4pmGrin

I lounged about all day, mostly in bed at Gran’s, then put on my clothes about 30mins ago to go home (couldn’t be bothered with makeup)… frightened I might not survive the journeyGrin

I'm having a brandy, before bed! Achieved a bit. Still looks like there's a million and one things to do before moving day, which could be any time in the next couple of weeks.

DD and the boyfriend came and helped a bit. Sold the sofas and they have been collected already, so that's good.

DD took some boxes to nannie's for safe keeping and many, many hours ago, I went for a walk with my bestie.

My whole body is wrecked now (I have rheumatoid arthritis) just in time for a new week at work. Although, there will be no heavy lifting or manual work of any kind, so perhaps, work is what I need!

PhilCornwall1 · 25/11/2019 04:25

@MaureenMLove

I have RA too, thats why I end up getting up at crazy o'clock in the morning to get painkillers. My hands, wrists and feet are not too smart at all. I'm due to start biologic drugs anytime soon, so I'm hoping they work.

It feels good to be able to get things done, even though we pay for it later.

Been up since 1.30 with a burning sore throat. Currently sat with tissue and a cup to spit into (sorry tmi). Gargled with salt water had a lemsip emailed work to say won't be in and now counting down until
9am to get soluble aspirin from chemist

katewhinesalot · 25/11/2019 04:36

sashh · 25/11/2019 04:42

Morning, the cafe is open, coff, tea and toast all ready, sorry no cake, someone ate the last slice.

isitxmasyet · 25/11/2019 04:45

I’m up
Woke with a start at 3am fretting about something at work (I’m a medic) and now I’m full of anxiety and counting the minutes until I can go into work and check the thing I’m worried about

Worst bit of the job
I’m going to be shattered by tonight

Sorry so many of you not sleeping well either

DrWAnker · 25/11/2019 04:52

I just woke up wide awake so having a hugemug of tea and toast. It's not so early anymore for me but Brew for everyone struggling. Not sleeping is the pits.
But I am very much enjoying the peace amd quiet today as life has been very busy recently.

MaureenMLove · 25/11/2019 06:22

On my way to work any minute now. And that was the 'relaxing' weekend done!

Noseynails · 25/11/2019 17:07
