Hi all,
I’m staying with my grandparents and wakened up at 03.55 and have been awake ever since. I wakened at 03.55, waited until 04.00 to get out of bed, came into the kitchenette and poured a drink, went back into the bedroom for my phone, came back to the kitchenette and sat down at the table where I still am. It feels like an eternity since I woke up, so I’m starting this thread for some chat.

@Balloondog I've never tried marmite!
@joosiewoosie awww did she have a bad dream? God, I used to hate them (and still do)
And your husband sounds hilarious

@Newbie1981 awww left over takeaway is the best, what is it you have? And everyone is still beautiful whether they are stout or thin and everything in between! @SoxiFodoujUmed ooh why don't you ask the doctor for melatonin tablets? I'm on them, they help me to sleep, but then I wake up through the night as normal, so they are more for getting to sleep in my opinion. Gran is starting to stir, so I'll fill and boil the kettle. @MrsMonkeyBear you are a better person than me, I couldn't cope with your job!

Urgh still awake been trying to get to sleep but not working. Husband is getting up soon for work and just checked on my little girl. I've been so tired lately so this is annoying! Meh.

I've been up since about 3.30am. Tried hard to go back to sleep, but my brain was too awake with all the things I've got to do today and in the coming weeks.

I'm moving, hopefully before Christmas and I've got shit loads of rubbish to go in the skip. Can't do any of it before 9'ish I guess!

I've taken pictures of the sofas and put them on Gumtree, then taken them apart. Boxed up a few things, now I'm drinking coffee, which will probably be my go to drink for the next 12 hours!

Noseynails · 24/11/2019 05:16

@Iamclearlyamug awww hope you're ok,I really hope you don't mind me asking, but why won't you see him until then? @Idolovechocolategimmygimmy drink a large glass of wine(or whatever it is you drink) that usually works apparently (I wouldn't know as I don't drink)

@MaureenMLove good luck with decluttering and moving! I think I'll be drinking lots of latte today. I think I'll have one now!

I’m awake. Woke up for a week about 30 mins ago and 2 year old DS is in the middle of DP and me in bed, he snarfles when he’s asleep. And takes up all the bloody room. Though he has just mumbled the word ‘happy’ in his sleep.
I’ve just found out I’m pregnant again so am refreshing myself on the joys of pregnancy.

Newbie1981 · 24/11/2019 05:22

I made a takeaway so it was actually a healthy Kung PO chicken. Well as healthy as it can be with honey and sugar in it haha

Trooperslaneagain · 24/11/2019 05:22

Just can't sleep at night. I have a lot going on right now, too ill to work, have had to pause Uni course and missing my folks (both dead).

Possible PSTD diagnosis and life in general is a bloody riot! And I'm taking DD to Frozen 2 today -sweet holy god-

Llamallamadingdong · 24/11/2019 05:23

I woke up just before 5am after some some of weird dream about exercise classes Hmm

I woke up every couple hours during the night anyway so I’m going to be on top form today. Contemplating getting up and cleaning the house...

@QuestionableMushroom aww how cute! Congratulations on your pregnancy!
@Newbie1981 oh I don't like honey, I don't like the taste or how sticky it is.
@Trooperslaneagain aww bless. Sending unmumsnetty hugs.
@Llamallamadingdong hahaha I have weird dreams all the time!

Thanks, I'm mostly done.

Today I have to empty my shed, take DDs bed apart, (she lives with her boyfriend, I'm not making her sleep on the floor!), get the rest of the empty boxes out of the loft and decide what kitchen stuff I can really live without for a few weeks.

All my boxes are now called miscellaneous!

I need to remember to stack metal stuff neatly next to the skip too. I unintentionally had free labour yesterday from a couple of fella who spotted I had a skip on the drive! As fast as I was filling it, they were taking it out again! They were literally in the skip!Grin. In the end, I told them to come into the garden and help themselves to anything that wasn't screwed down! Saved me moving it and I've got more room in my skip now!Grin

Iamclearlyamug · 24/11/2019 05:34

@noseynails sadly due to work commitments I can't fly out again until February 12th 🙈 we're both used to being apart but i still hate it sigh I'm sat on the plane now waiting to taxi - trying to breathe slow

Ihatesandwiches · 24/11/2019 05:34

Good morning!
I've been awake for about an hour. Cats decided to have a fight outside my bedroom window :-(

chillpill123 · 24/11/2019 05:36

Woke up about 2 hours ago - feel sleepy now but kids will be up shortly so I'm sticking the kettle on for me and tv for them x

PhilCornwall1 · 24/11/2019 05:41

I've been awake since 3am and finally had to get up at 3:30am. I've got severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and the pain always kicks in with anger at that time of the morning. I managed to shuffle out of the bedroom without waking up my wife ( gave her a crafty gentle kiss on the head though, I'm a soppy sod).

These are my mornings. I'm in the lounge on the settee having made a pot of coffee and taken a bucket tonne of codeine. Whilst I'd love to be asleep, I do love this time of the morning, so still and quiet.

Noseynails · 24/11/2019 05:42

@MaureenMLove aww that's good... movings are always stressful so it's good to have help. @Iamclearlyamug awww you can always FaceTime and call and text and write letters to each other.
@Ihatesandwiches I would have phoned the rspca and got then taken away.
@chillpill123 aww enjoy your cuppa.

Been awake for an hour. Lying in bed listening to husband & children sleeping soundly! Sigh...

Nosey reading your messages has brought back lovely memories of staying over at my grans when I was little. Thanks Smile

Llamallamadingdong · 24/11/2019 05:55

@PhilCornwall1 I hope the pain relief kicks in soon

splishandsplash · 24/11/2019 05:57

I'm awake at 4am most mornings at the moment with a stinking cold and late term pregnancy...! I'm exhausted but still won't sleep 😬

Noseynails · 24/11/2019 05:57

@PhilCornwall1 aww I have chronic pain too, which the doctors can't get to the bottom of so I am in pain and looking for paracetamol.

Gran is now awake and I've made her a cup of tea. Bump
