To start getting p***ed off with teenagers tonight?

We live in a pretty nice cul de sac, hardly any noise really, not many children and certainly no anti social behaviour!

Across the road have teenagers who you never see normally but their parents must be away as it's clearly party night (only about 10-15 of them). Up to now it was loud music blaring through open doors and windows and lots of shouting. It's now turned into 'oh but I'm so drunk' action on the street and I've just seen 1 launch themselves on the bonnet of someone's car and lay there 😡😡. Others are smoking and leaning against cars or lying in the road etc. LOTS of ridiculous shouting and shrieking.

Part of me thinks I'm being a grumpy old git and that it's not even that late but most of me is really irritated as I want an early night and I'm worried about my fairly brand new car outside....

Party noise is just something to tolerate before 11pm.

Damage to property is not though.

I'd call 111 and see if they can do anything.

After 11 you can call the police

Widowodiw · 23/11/2019 22:22

Yep you are being grumpy- wish I was that young again when the most important thing to me was what outfit I was wearing to that party. Let them 🎉 party

Louise91417 · 23/11/2019 22:22

Id give them to 11oclock..thats when the noise level has to be lowered. Your probably not the only neighbour they are pissing off, so police will maybe get a call from someone before nigbts out.

iswhois · 23/11/2019 22:53

Wait until 11 o'clock if they aren't back in the house I would call the police as it's not on really. Not only could property get damaged but someone could get hurt.

We had persistent noise from neighbours a while back and the council said the 11pm rule was a bit of a myth. Id report to the police and/or pop over and ask them to turn it down. The ASBO our neighbours were slapped with did give them a nudge in the right direction when polite requests didn't work.

PIL have an elderly. Friend who keeps buying treats for the dcs.. He has no family and enjoys it. So far he's give dd (20m) 4 x advent calendars in the last few weeks. I had already got her a milky bar one.. I'm. Going to donate 3 of the ones he's given (the 4th give to dsd) as she doesn't understand nor does she need 4 of them..
Bless him he's lovely. But has no concept of quantity of treats.. This week gave an advent. A santa. 6 wagon wheels and a pack of 8 juice drinks and a Teddy bear.
