Neighbours smoking weed outside my house and in my garden

Hi. Just moved into a new house with my partner and I am 9 months pregnant. Our house has a garden which is joined to next doors. It is ours legally, but no fence divides the two. Anyway, the neighbour next door stands outside and smokes weed every night and we can smell it in our living room. Yesterday the daughter, about 17, was smoking a joint in our garden too. They have another daughter around 7 year old. She was there in our garden too with her.

We’ve come home tonight and politely said can he not do it outside as it comes into ours and smells and I’m due to give birth any day now.

AIBU? It’s making me feel miserable. Neither of us smoke and it’s every single night. The thought of bringing my baby home to a house stinking of weed is making me feel crap.

I'd put up a fence or wall straight away if finances allow. For privacy too!

I have sympathy. Our next door neighbour smokes skunk in his house and in the garden and the smell comes right through to ours. He smokes 3 or 4 nights a week.

I've said things on a couple of occasions and it hasn't helped. I would report it to the police but where we live in London the police don't even come if you've been mugged or burgled so I know they wouldn't have time for this.
