to think that an August delivery date means *in* August not the middle of September ?

At the beginning of August I placed an order for some Doulton figurines for dd's b'day with Thompson and Morgan (part of a Daily Mail offer) enclosing a note explaining that we would like them in time for the last week of August. I had confirmation of this order 2 weeks ago but nothing has arrived. Just rung to check and they have not been despatched yet and am told an August delivery date apparently means any time up to mid September Lets hope I don't have to explain that to my turning 6 year old

My mother is having bother with a Daily Mail offer for a Diana Royal Doulton Fiqurine.

Probably the same people. The recorded message says they've had delays on Lavender too (T and M normally do plants by post). The initial two arrived on time so this is very annoying.

I'm so pissed off. Rang to check the delivery date as now well passed mid septembre and they have cancelled the order , without telling me, 3 weeks ago as they had sold out. Waiting for a call confirming they have refunded us . Then I'm hoping to order direct from Doulton who seem to be selling them chepaer now anyway.

Moral - don't bother with these offers
