AIBU?
To want Montpellier to fix my oven after 4 weeks ..

Hi all, I'm a long time lurker and very seldom poster. I think I just need to rant. I bought a new Montpellier oven in January 2019 and on 24th October 2019 the oven stopped working. I rang Montpellier, they sent out an engineer 4 days later. He told me he had to order a new fan which would take 4-5 working days. I waited until 8th November and rang their engineer section to be told no part - it'll be here Monday.
So I waited. And waited. And waited. And rang them again on 13th Nov to be told no sign of the part - ring the main customer service. Rang them - they told me the parts had been ordered but no-one knew when they would arrive but it would probably be sometime soon. Oh, and because I'm not in England I could add on an extra couple of days before it was delivered here (Ireland). So I said I wanted to speak to a manager. No, no manager or supervisor could talk to me but I could contact another customer service section.
So I contacted another customer service section who told me the part was with the engineers. So I rang the engineers and they told me no, they don't have the part. So I rang the customer service and they told me they thought they'd have the part but they'd have to ring back to check ...
And on. And on. And on. So four weekends later, two young kids I'm trying to feed, no fixed oven and no suggestions of a replacement oven, no supervisor or manager contacting me ... AIBU to just want an oven that works?
Rant over. Thank you.

Go back to the retailer your contract is with them. all montpellier appliances have a 2 year guarantee. Parts are not that difficult to get. Montpellier do not make their own appliances they source them from various manufacturers. By law they have to be able to supply spare parts. The time you have waited is not acceptable and the appliance is not fit for purpose.
