Just that really. Something I can make and sell? I thought of starting an ironing business, but I don't drive so would be hard to get clients. I've also thought of doing Avon/body shop, but I don't think you can money with that? I need something that can bring in £500-700 a month. Anyone?

Is dc not in nursery? Why does it have to be something from home?

WaterSheep · 18/11/2019 09:56

Why the sudden need to make money? What have you been doing up until this point. 500-700 a month is quite a big ask when you have a child at home.

Also am I the only one who thought this would be about how to prepare a child for school? For example teaching them to do zips. Grin

Do you have a partner who comes home in an evening? Supermarkets have evening shifts that are family friendly. I do 12 hours a week over 3 evenings 6-10pm and earn £370 (take home pay).

I think if you need that kind of money the only realistic way is to look at putting dc in nursery for the free 30 hours and working out of home. You will need to top up the hours unless you're very lucky. Alternatively, I guess childminding if that's something you could do.

I thought so too.

Need more info, OP. What’s your skill set?

Don't get sucked into a MLM scheme! Read the threads here and don't believe the hard sell about making money while at home with your kids.

Whether it is Avon/aloe/health shakes/nail stickers or whatever else

schafernaker · 18/11/2019 10:24

Are you any good at sewing? I’m sure there’s a lot of money to be made in handmade children’s clothes (I’m a sucker for them)
