But you've cast me aside' Says Jennifer Arcuri about Boris Johnson. I conclude that she doesn't know him well then. Join the list, Miss. Did anyone watch the full interview?

So she used to shag Boris Johnson. So what? What is it she thinks she is entitled to?

Gardai · 18/11/2019 08:14

I think it’s more she expected a tad more respect. Old Johnson is an unlikely Lothario (for some women).

longwayoff · 18/11/2019 08:21

Respect? From Mr Misogyny?

She's not entitled to that money he arranged for her to get without declaring his interest (ie, shagging her).

gokartdillydilly · 18/11/2019 08:45

They glossed over the pregnancy...

ForalltheSaints · 18/11/2019 08:47

Just remember the way that Jennifer Arcuri has been treated is another example of Boris Johnson's attitude towards women. No one with any respect for women can vote for him.

Greenwingmemories · 18/11/2019 08:47

Did she realise he was married to someone else when he was shagging her? Someone he was allegedly unfaithful with to his first wife? Why do women always think these arseholes will be different with them?

ChicCroissant · 18/11/2019 08:49

Not watched the interview but you do wonder what she is winding up to do by coming over here.

ComtesseDeSpair · 18/11/2019 08:52

Gosh, I was in the pub with her on Friday, her social circle overlaps with mine. I thought she was joking about shagging BJ! I must have lived under a rock for years, didn’t have a clue.

StreetwiseHercules · 18/11/2019 09:01

“ I think it’s more she expected a tad more respect.”

Why?

DioneTheDiabolist · 18/11/2019 09:05

I watched this interview.Shock She came across as a bit stalkerish to me.

Surely one thing everyone knows bout Johnson now is that he never fails to display awful judgement. For example, back in 2015 Johnson was effusive in his praise of Prince Andrew when questioned about the prince during a TV interview, at a time when the Prince was already under the spotlight. Rather than just say something non-commital like "well, lets wait and see" or "innocent till proven guilty, but le's wait for the facts", no - instead he banged on and on about what a hero Prince Andrew is and all the "unsung" work he does for the country, as well as stating "of course I have sympathy for him".

Yes, this woman is probably just after her 5 minutes of fame, but when you consistently display crap judgement, a massive sense of entitlement, and immoral to the extent he doesn't even acknowledge his own children, these things will keep popping up for Al Johnson.

Wilberforce1 · 18/11/2019 09:21

She came across as a proper airhead on that interview and what was with the stupid coy little looks. Twat! I feel sorry for her husband, how embarrassing.

longwayoff · 18/11/2019 09:25

@ComtesseDeSpair, you weren't in Pizza Express in Woking by any chance?

I agree that it is about Boris showing consistently poor judgement. In fact that's relevant to a lot of incidents that people in public life - years ago I used the same phrase to explain to a friend why there was a backlash against a politician caught on Hampstead Heath late at night - it's not the fact that he was there really, it's the fact that he showed poor judgement by lying about it with a really shit story rather than just own up straight away.

When Paddy Ashdown was outed as having an affair, he said yes I did and apologised. That's better than coming up with whiny excuses or attempting to deflect the fact that you've stuffed up. Own up, own it and move on.

The PA story died down pretty quickly because what else could the press say? Also it helped that the other party involved didn't speak to the press at all, if on the other hand you have a long history of lying and poor judgement and the other party gives interviews on the TV then you are pretty stuffed really. Imagine that happening when you are still married to someone yet are living with another partner and an ex starts popping up on TV interviews. Not the person I want representing us to the rest of the world tbh.
