Name changed for this, considering fostering, I would like to hear about your experiences with SS good or bad, and what you think should be done differently, if you're a parent with children under a care order, or a parent who has had their kids removed, or adoptive parents, even other foster carers.
I'd like to request that this is a judgement free post.

Hi OP, you might want to try posting this on the fostering board.

I had SS involved as I became pregnant when I was a vulnerable teenager. We were on a child in need plan. They were involved through my pregnancy and until she was almost two. Can't fault them, they were lovely especially our specific social worker, she helped me move when I needed to and got me a grant for a carpet as the floor wasn't safe without one. I always felt like they were on my side, trying to help me be the best mum I could be. I didn't feel judged, even when I didn't know how to do things, or even when I rang her because I felt like I couldn't cope. Would love to get in touch with her again and let her know how I'm doing to be honest
