Just that.
Although he is being asked the wrong questions.

@TheMidasTouch Do you enjoy your job as one of Andrew's advisors?

krustykittens · 17/11/2019 11:13

CrazyCrazyLady Yes, that is awful, what happened to your friend. But you have missed the point the Epstein was convicted. How do you shut your eyes to that?

lazylinguist · 17/11/2019 11:16

There really are some spectacularly dim comments on this thread. But this: She does not look like a Trafficked sex slave in that picture!! takes the biscuit. Do you really think that rich and powerful men would choose to sleep with girls who look like hollow-eyed, bad-skinned drug addicts? Do you really think that smiling for a photo means that she was happy and there by choice? Do you really think that someone trafficking and pimping out a girl couldn't also make sure she looked clean, well-fed and healthy and threaten her enough to make her put on a convincingly happy show of wanting to sleep with the men she was pimped out to? Fgs don't be so naïve!

AnyMinuteNow · 17/11/2019 11:16

I found his blatherings about his work so inconsequential. He could not speak clearly about anything specific. The most specific remark he made was to drop his dd into his so-called alibi.

He can't even speak about what his future plans are in any meaningful way.

As for the sweating Hmm

LaurieMarlow · 17/11/2019 11:19

The ‘convenient place to stay’ point is such laughable bollocks. Like there aren’t loads of luxury hotels in the vicinity.

Isn’t there a behavioural economics term for when stupid people assume everyone else is even stupider than they are?

Roussette · 17/11/2019 11:21

TheMidasTouch

Agree with lots you have written.

Have just watched the interview. It's like a comedy (I'm not undermining what the victims have gone through), by a comedy I mean it is so ridiculous and it's like PA is an actor. The fake horror face, the waffling, the shocked face when told someone he has sworn legally that he was on the island 4 times a year. Absolutely ridiculous.

He seems to have no idea or not remember about just about everything. Yet remembers the pizza... yeah yeah...

To admit he's still friendly with Ghislaine.(or was up until Spring this year) .. the woman who procured under age girls for Epstein... is appalling. I'm pretty sure I knew she was dodgy and he's trying to say he didn't know? Bullshit.

we are all going in the same direction

What is his 'work' exactly about? Does anybody know?

He runs Pitch@Palace This is an organisation putting young business people and entrepreneurs in touch with advisors and mentors. It's not a charity like the Princes Trust but it does do help young people with their businesses.

I know someone very well who is involved with his work on this and although he may have many faults this is one good thing he does which most people do not know about.

It takes up a lot of time and travel across the world.

AlistairAppletonssexyscarf · 17/11/2019 11:25

I have no specific knowledge of this issue. But I have met PA (briefly) and met people who know him. He is appalling and no one has a good word to say about him. Embassies hate his visits as he is so unpleasant, and often causes issues with diplomatic relations. He is arrogant, stupid and obsessed with status, unlike his siblings. He and Fergie behave like children. He is bankrolled by the crown and public money. His travel and security are paid for by taxpayers. His home and household are paid for by the Crown Estate. From the stories I’ve heard over the years I assume he is bi, by the way. The first time I heard a story about his relationships with men was when I was a student, when he was still pretty much Randy Andy, the standing feature of the Nigel Dempster column.

I have zero trouble believing these accusations. His story is full of holes. There are statements going back almost a decade about his involvement with Epstein which I haven’t seen mentioned in this recent cycle, eg a witness who says he attended naked pool parties with teenage girls at Epstein’s house. This is a great article, dating back to 2011 when the story first hit the press.

Roussette · 17/11/2019 11:25

Well... he won't be travelling the world much now.

AnyMinuteNow · 17/11/2019 11:29

I also think that pizza explanation does have a ring of truth, even though its only part of the evening, that, it would be memorable his going to a pizza place for a kids party.

He kinda fell down though with the one or the other stays home tag-team stylee, to make sure none alone and the duchess was away, so he takes one to a party and leaves the other (contradicting himself [again])

churchandstate · 17/11/2019 11:30

He isn’t going to say he was at Pizza Express if he wasn’t. It’s not the sort of alibi you could make up. I suspect he was there. That doesn’t mean he has nothing to hide in all this.

Cornettoninja · 17/11/2019 11:31

18. I think if he was guilty he wouldn't be inclined to take questions, knowing that body language experts would be studying the interview. It would take years, if not forever, to teach someone to not make any body movements

I agree with much of your post, it’s very balanced and well thought out.

My only reservation is this point. Maybe too many crime podcasts, but I think there are people in existence who body language doesn’t hold much sway because they don’t hold themselves to the same rules as the rest of us. Ted Bundy being the first person to spring to mind.

I

And brings him into contact with impressionable and grateful youngsters, which is most inappropriate bearing in mind what we know about him now. He brings the RF into disrepute. Is PA supposed to take over the DofE award scheme?

Roussette · 17/11/2019 11:32

Totally agree Alistair. This interview has opened up far far more questions now. He sort of makes out the epstein sex offenders/young girls/trafficing/Ghislaine thing is something he knew nothing about. Bullshit.

The behaviour of Epstein was ingrained in him, he didn't suddenly start sleeping with young girls. And for PA not to denounce Ghislaine even now is abhorrent.

Fergie is pathetic and the only reason she made that statement I linked above is because she doesn't want to stop the money train. And she is as deluded and entitled as him.

And brings him into contact with impressionable and grateful youngsters,

They are not necessarily youngsters and you are really out of order for suggesting his work is somehow a means of meeting young people for sex.

You clearly knew nothing about his work at all and had to ask.

I know a lot more than you do and it's not with youngsters these are graduates and people in their 20s and 30s.

churchandstate · 17/11/2019 11:37

I think what he said in the interview is most likely to be mostly true. But he was very cagey, so there was a lot left unsaid.

churchandstate · 17/11/2019 11:37

But don’t forget, he was only at Pizza Express for an hour.

JinglingHellsBells · 17/11/2019 11:38

I have no specific knowledge of this issue. But I have met PA (briefly) and met people who know him. He is appalling and no one has a good word to say about him

So you admit you know nothing about it but feel you can comment in a negative way ?

I know someone who works closely with him at Pitch@Palace and she ( yes it's a woman) says he is absolutely fine. You can't accuse someone of criminal behaviour just because people don't like them and their day to day behaviour- which, as I said , is subjective as this person I know says the opposite!

BertrandRussell · 17/11/2019 11:39

Any reason why he couldn’t have been at Pizza Express in Woking at 6 and in Belgravia by 11?

Trentadoodoo · 17/11/2019 11:39

Well, JinglingHellsBells his reputation is in shatters, so who knows what he is up to when what he has been up to is so very sordid?

Roussette · 17/11/2019 11:39

One important point.... I read a while ago that he was strongly advised NOT to go and see Epstein after he was convicted as a sex offender. He was told that it would backfire and his reaction was.... 'I'll do what I want to do, he's a friend'.

Of course he didn't have to spend 4 days telling Epstein he couldn't mix with him any more. He could've ghosted him if he wanted! For that reason I don't believe one word he says. If a male friend I knew was charged with sex offences, I would just cut them dead. There's no reason whatsoever why PA could not have done that.

MadameLeFunky · 17/11/2019 11:39

Whoever suggested it should don a set of antlers and go galloping in the Highlands for the next ‘Royal Shoot!’

I've just returned from Balmoral where pretty much everyone I spoke to would prefer Andrew to don the antlers during shotting season...

I am no 'insider' - just your average holidayer - and it was starkly clear even to me that none of the royal staff have any time for him.

caperberries · 17/11/2019 11:40

I really don't understand why he agreed to this interview. It's even more of an own goal than the recent Harry & Meghan outbursts. Where are the RF's advisers?? Are they just incompetent, or do the royals just ignore them & do their own thang?
