Apart from the fact I'm curious, making a career change. My heart is in midwifery but the pay is bad. I'm money motivated so know I could do something I'm less passionate about if it meant more money.

Currently doing an access course.

Also, isn’t it more important to have a job you love rather than lots of money?
I’m a sahm and home-educator - so i earn sod all. Hubby has been a graphic designer for years - but his last job was a nightmare so took the first job he could get editing - he’s now on 17k. We get by lol
But money isn’t the be all and end all - sure, it facilitates but tbh I’m happy :-)

Very happy in my job. Final salary pension, 30 days hols + 4 concessionary days. Plus service pay for every 5 years of service. Plus the hours are only 32.5 a week.

Interesting work and I really enjoy going to work. I work with some knobheads like, but gotta take the rough with the smooth.

ToftyAC · 17/11/2019 18:22

Office Manager, 30 hpw. £9 per hour. Used to work in corporate finance, £26k per year. Wouldn’t go back. I’ll be earning more in my current job before long, tis my first year and I was fairly unqualified.
