It’s an old clip but he’s on top form.

Go Boris!

The debt has not been reduced just the difference between what we spent and take in . I would like a much smaller state and lower taxes but none of the parties offer me that, sadly. The Tories may well get in in part because they are a middle of the road high spending party currently.

DowntownAbby · 20/11/2019 16:51

And I keep pointing out that polls 3 weeks before an election...

Good for you, @Alsohuman but what you seem to have missed is that what I've posted isn't a poll, it's the betting odds.

Bookmakers aren't in the habit of giving money away so you can be damned sure that Corbyn has got no chance whatsoever if they're offering 12/1 for a labour win.

If you think it might be wrong you'd do well to stick £5 on labour to win. Easy money for you!

Alsohuman · 20/11/2019 17:00

Waste of a fiver, what are the odds for a hung Parliament with Labour the biggest party?

DowntownAbby · 20/11/2019 17:08

Click the pic in my last post, @Alsohuman it's in there.

(33/1 labour win, no overall majority)

Alsohuman · 20/11/2019 17:12

Brilliant, that’s even better. £165 for doing nothing, same principle as the current cabinet.

Found this link on another thread, would be entertaining if not so depressing...

Snowy's link courtesy of Peter Oborne, previous arch Tory and Leaver, appalled by the rise of the contemptible liar, Boris Johnson.

If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough it will be believed
Adolf Hitler

StoneofDestiny · 26/11/2019 07:40

Make the lie big, keep it simple, keep saying it and eventually they will believe it
Dr Joseph Goebbels

longwayoff · 26/11/2019 09:01

Absolutely correct @StoneofDestiny. Why people cannot see what we're being coerced into is utterly beyond my understanding.

‘Great fun for an evening out but not someone you’d want to get into a taxi with to go home at the end of the evening’. Amber Rudd. WTAF.

Waitrosescheapestvodka · 26/11/2019 09:22

I bet Nazanin Zagari-Ratcliffe thinks he's ace. As foreign secretary after she was imprisioned he ignored calls from her husband and MP asking for intervention, then spoke out his arse saying she was in Iran to 'train journalists'. This was used to add 5 years to her sentence.

longwayoff · 26/11/2019 09:30

He did. Can't wait for the delights he will bring as PM.

Clavinova · 26/11/2019 09:44

Misquote as usual - it should be;

"Boris, well, he's the life and soul of the party but he's not the man you want driving you home at the end of the evening." - said during a televised head to head debate on the referendum, between Rudd and Johnson in 2016 - a 'put down' comment to score a point.

Amber Rudd later explained; "What I meant by that, is, I don't want him managing the Brexit process".

Maybe she doesn't.

(33/1 labour win, no overall majority)

Those are surprisingly good odds actually.

Inliverpool1 · 26/11/2019 16:42

Worth a fiver and a vote

I’m rubbish with odds, what would you win if you bet £5?

5 x 33?

Usernumbers1234 · 26/11/2019 16:44

@Figmentofmyimagination

Funnily enough, that quote is a figment of your imagination too.

Usernumbers1234 · 26/11/2019 16:45

Yep letseat - £170 including your £5 stake back.

Not a wise bet though.

Still a better human than the pondscum that is Jeremy Corbyn.

Xenia · 26/11/2019 17:44

Now I am wondering what all these deletions were. I vote Conservative but I don't think Corbyn is wicked or scum. He is a hard working politician as is BJ. it is just Corbyn has the wrong policies.

StoneofDestiny · 26/11/2019 22:56

Mind boggling to defend Johnson whatever your politics are - he is a serial philanderer, a proven liar, in unreliable employee (hence his sackings), a Racist and a 'populist policy' politician - hallmark of a shallow character. How on Earth anybody thinks that makes him suitable to unite and lead our country is unbelievable. He's learned debating tactics at Eton - that is it.
