Sandwiches - party Tomo lunchtime, cut now or in morning?

I know this is probably a stupid question but my brain is that knackered I can't think straight. Sandwiches are made and in fridge, but I haven't cut them into quarters cos I'm worried about them curling up at the edges, going dry etc.

Want to do it now cos will be too busy Tomo without a stress, what do you think?

Personally I’d do it tomorrow, because I like my sandwiches as fresh as possible (I wouldn’t have made them a day early to be honest!)

Tomorrow, but won't they go a bit soggy overnight?

livingthegoodlife · 15/11/2019 18:48

Definitely tomorrow. To be honest I wouldn't have even made them until tomorrow.

I'm hosting a party on Sunday and will orep everything day before - but not sandwiches!!!

NewName73 · 15/11/2019 18:49

Tomorrow. I wouldn't have made them tonight at all.

I guess it depends what fillings they have.

Elbeagle · 15/11/2019 18:49

Another one who wouldn’t have made them until tomorrow. I usually do them in the last half hour before the party.
Don’t chop until tomorrow.

I freeze the weeks packed lunch sandwiches on a Sunday, they’ll be fine.

Paperyfish · 15/11/2019 18:50

Had to make a ton of sandwiches for a family wake the other month. Me and my mum made them..then froze them! Worked fine! Prob not suitable here through Grin

DillyDilly · 15/11/2019 18:51

Definitely in the morning, I’d have waited and made them in the morning also.

Oh OP I can tell how tired you are; sandwiches are made now so too late for any morning advice, perhaps just cut them and wrap tightly in cling film.

Then get some rest!

Rosie2000 · 15/11/2019 20:25

Get some kitchen paper and wet it and wring out, cover the sandwiches with it and then clingfilm. Sarnies will be fine with this method- dine it many times!

Thanks for all your help. Frownette I'm definitely tired of thinking about parties at the mo! I just wonder how far in advance they're made when they're sold in shops ready-packaged....
