How long before you can report an adult missing?

I think it depends on the circumstances. If they’re vulnerable, or it’s out of character etc, they’ll take it more seriously earlier on.
My 15 year old regularly runs off and they don’t seem to bother making any inquiries for hours, sometimes several days. I usually find her myself tbh.
