I have a fwb thing with someone I’ve been friends with for a couple of years. I text him yesterday around 11:30am asking if he wanted to meet up today, hadn’t heard from him by 9pm so made other plans.

He’s been going through some stuff and hasn’t been engaging as much with me or his other friends so I just said I’ll give you some space, here if you need me kind of thing.

He text this morning asking if I was still going over. I said I’d made other plans because thought he wasn’t interested. He thinks I should have kept the time open for him since I asked him to meet up. I’m thinking if he doesn’t want a relationship with me, I’m not making him a priority and waiting around for him to bother letting me know what the plans are? AIBU to treat this this way?

He is being an idiot ( although this may have been due to the stress he is coming under so you may want to cut him some slack if he isnt normally like this).
Tell him you will like to see him everyday for the next 6 months, and although you probably wont make it , you want him to keep the time free just in case you are
