How old were your babies when they first stayed over with grandparents?

Due to do a KIT day next Friday. Have already done 2 where baby stayed with dad. This time my parents are having her but live a 30 mile drive away. It will be easier all round for the baby who will be 5 months to stay over the night before with them as I am training in another city. AIBU to consider it so young? She's used to being left with them just not overnight. The big kids will be here but at school. So baby will be in her own.

My son was a similar age, I think it's less about the age of the child and more about how you as a parent feel.

Mine have never yet and they are 3 and 1. However my eldest has been left at our home overnight with my mother on three occasions, one for a wedding we attended, and twice for us to have a night away together. I was also away from her overnight for two nights when I had her sister but she was with her Dad so that doesn't count.

Eldest has started asking to stay at both sets of grandparents houses actually, just for fun, and we'll let her once we're confident she won't actually change her mind at 2am
and start screaming to come home Grin

@Greggers2017 There really is no right or wrong. It's whatever you're comfortable with.

If my mom was still here I would of let her have both my children from a few weeks old because I trusted her with my life.

Mine was 3 months, she stayed at my parents overnight while partner and I went to a beer festival. I sobbed when we left but was ok within the hour and ended up having a great time. DD was fine and now stays with them every few months.
