Jobs that you hate doing that only take a few minutes

I can't stand cleaning the cats litter tray of making sodding pack lunches even though they only take a few minutes to do. What jobs do you hate doing?

I hate putting the washing out to dry, and then putting the clothes away. It never takes long, and I always fee better after I do it, yet I'd rather wash the dishes twice than do it.

LucaFritz · 10/11/2019 22:38

The litter tray and taking out the bins anything else i do straight away but those two i avoid for as long as i can

SuzieSunshine · 10/11/2019 22:46

Can't believe no ones mentioned Ironing!! I actively buy clothes that I can just wash and hang up. Emtpying the dishwasher, changing the duvet cover, hanging up the wet washing and cleaning the insides of windows.

JaceLancs · 10/11/2019 22:47

Mowing the lawn
Dusting anything

middlemuddle · 10/11/2019 22:47

I've not ironed in years, my tumble dryer does it for me. So not on my list!

Purplecatshopaholic · 10/11/2019 22:48

Deciding which bin for which item of rubbish. Is this recycle-able or not.... Aaaaagh. And putting on duvet covers give me the rage.

el1zabeth · 10/11/2019 22:49

I hate taking my make up off

switcharoo · 10/11/2019 22:49

Not a household job but I hate taking my make up off, at weekends I tend not to wear it just so I don't have to take it off!

Purplecatshopaholic · 10/11/2019 22:50

Oh and I didn’t even mention ironing, because I just don’t do it!

switcharoo · 10/11/2019 22:50

Ha snap @el1zabeth

powershowerforanhour · 10/11/2019 22:55

I'll come round your houses and peel the seal off your milk and happily assemble reusable nappies till the cows come home if you hoover my stairs and put air in my car tyres.

Gwenhwyfar · 10/11/2019 22:56

Changing the bed. I've read people on here say it only takes a few minutes, but I think it does take me a bit longer. I find it quite difficult to reach all the corners.

Ponoka7 · 10/11/2019 23:01

Lots already mentioned and rinsing the empty cat food tins before putting them into the recycling.

Giving my houseplants a good soak.

MyMajesty · 10/11/2019 23:05

Cleaning the bathroom floor.

Egghead68 · 10/11/2019 23:07

Getting the used coffee grounds out of the cafetière.

goodwinter · 10/11/2019 23:08

Showering/drying my hair (although the latter takes more than a few minutes)

bigdecsions · 10/11/2019 23:08

Cleaning the fridge, changing the bin bag, putting the recycling out and making cokes lunches for the kids, not in any particular order, hate them all equally Grin

Pinkarsedfly · 10/11/2019 23:09

Putting food shopping away fills me with rage. I hate it.

Taking my makeup off and cleaning my teeth before bed.

Needing a wee makes me tut these days, too. Then again, so do most things, tbh.

FridalovesDiego · 10/11/2019 23:10

Unloading the dishwasher. When my DH works away I hand wash everything. Weirdly I would rather do that than unload the sodding dishwasher. Makes absolutely no sense.

mindproject · 10/11/2019 23:13

I hate metre reading because it involves lifting a sofa up, then finding a torch that works, then lifting the sofa back. It's a total PITA.

hillbilly · 10/11/2019 23:14

@rookiemere I'm with you! I've only just taken up the hems of DS's only other pair of school trousers since he started secondary in sept. And I sew for a living 😂

mindproject · 10/11/2019 23:18

Removing cat poo from the cat litter. Our cat does about 5 poos a day so it always needs doing. It involves a trip to the outside bin because I won't have it in the house. I've been doing it for 16 years and it's beginning to annoy me now.

JoyceJeffries · 10/11/2019 23:23

Putting away washing.

Bunnyfuller · 10/11/2019 23:26

Packed lunches and emptying the dishwasher. They both involve lots of ‘bits’ and seem ridiculously faffy.

Also sorting the washing.

cafenoirbiscuit · 10/11/2019 23:27

Taking the dogs out in the morning.
Getting clothes off the line - crunchy and shit.
Putting things in the post box.
Washing the floors.
Admittedly I’m a tardy bitch ......
