Aibu in asking how it is you find the strength in leaving an unhappy relationship/ marriage?

How did you do it?
When did you know it was time to walk ?

For background I've got 3 kids 14,7 and 5 and absolutely nowhere to go no family support nothing.

The first time, when I was very young, I packed a case, waited til he'd gone to work, and made a run for it. This was dh1.
The second time with dh2 I did the same.
The third time, at least I warned dh3!

Firstly, are you safe?

You need to make a plan. Do you have a job? Do you have access to any savings? How much does it cost to rent a house or flat where you would like to live? Would you be entitled to any universal credit or other benefits as a single parent? (there's a calculator on www.entitledto.com) Could you ask him to leave instead?
