To spend time looking at houses on rightmove?

So I have a secret hobby... I spend hours searching houses on rightmove and then plan how I would furnish/redcorate etc...

I don't even choose big houses, I often go for cheaper houses or flats and imagine if it was just me and the kids so I could decorate it exactly how I want Grin and not have DHs input/shite to factor in Blush

Willington Terrace, Wallsend, Tyne And Wear, NE28

This is my current fantasy home... I think it could a stunner!

Feel free to share yours!

I love using rightmove to spy inside neighbours' houses that are for sale

Yes, definitely a guilty pleasure. Especially if, as happened recently, it’s someone I don’t like and I see they’ve let their bathroom grouting get manky. I also spied kitchen grubbiness and some gross decor fails. I felt completely vindicated.

I do it but I like to look at the really extravagant ones

Mines has a swimming pool, I win

well - if we're playing my pool is bigger than your pool: behold!

This is the house I will be spending the majority of my time at once the lottery is won (that's tomorrow evening - for those not paying attention in the back). I originally found it on rightmove - so this counts - even if its only on a swanky website now .

That's amazing Joxter - though I'm a bit suspicious of the lack of internal pictures and floorplans. Or any description of the inside. If I'm spending ten million pounds on a house I want to know it's habitable!

mawof3soontobe · 11/11/2019 17:05

@Icantreachthepretzels oh my I'm in love with that!!!!

DogAndCatPerson · 11/11/2019 17:09

YANBU. I do it all the time, OP. I’m not even secretive about it.

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 11/11/2019 17:20

I've rejected many a fantasy house due to unsuitable layouts. Browsing Rightmove is the adult equivalent of looking through the toy section of an Argos book as a kidGrin

BrieAndChilli · 11/11/2019 19:31

I often disregard a house if it doesn’t have a floor plan. I’ve even been known to try and sketch out a floor plan from the photos and description of it’s a particular nice house!!

RoseMartha · 11/11/2019 19:36

I do this, and have done for years. You are not aline OP. Also I just like looking at houses.

ooooohhhyeahhhh · 11/11/2019 20:20

Not wanting to make you jealous or anything, but I get paid for looking on Rightmove.

I'm a property manager for a charity and my job is to find properties for people when they're secure and ready to move out of hostels.

I love my job!
