To ask what to wear to a school disco?

NC just in case.

I am volunteering at the school disco. I have posted before about how unapproachable the parents in this school are. We have been there a while now, but did not start with the class and I have never had a single conversation at drop off and pick up. Not even a "hi" from anyone.
The general consensus was that I needed to join the PTA as an "in" - so here I am volunteering, as I do not know who the PTA people are!

BUT I have no idea what to wear, AIBU to wear jeans? Or do I need trousers? What top? Shirt?

At our school discos PTA helpers were just in jeans and an ordinary top.

I used to run discos in jeans and a casual top. No one is looking at you.

Just be friendly.

If on the door say how fab any of the kids look if they have put on a sparkly top / gelled their hair etc.
If on exit doors make sure they go out with their adult and say bye / hope you had fun.
If selling stuff then be patient with the ones who can't count.
If put in a position of having to tell a child off, if you don't feel confident doing it then, if non urgent, find a committee member or teacher in charge.

Enjoy!
