Road rage bully

So was driving through Bristol today after a heavy storm...traffic lights at crossroad were green but there was a flood on the road and the oncoming car was turing right at crossroads so i waited. Car behind me ( Audi) beeped..he did not habe to slow in a rush.i went across crossroads cautiously. I changed lanes before roundabout and Audi tried to push ahead at me and looked through my window in a temper. I put my middle finger up at me and he screamed at me that i was a "fucking shit driver". Even if i was, aibu to think he should have eyes on the road and not through my windows? He looked in a right rage.

With this type of prat reasoning doesn’t come into it . You dared to show a bit of restraint and common sense . I had the same once after an emergency vehicle went through lights on red and I stopped . The idiot behind me stood on the hooter as the lights were green my side ! I know it’s upsetting but next time just think to yourself - Another one on the road to hell .

Water on the road does weird things to some drivers.

I was driving through a flood, it was reasonably deep so I let the car in front of me get ahead to avoid the wash. Someone at the other end decided to drive AT me in the not quite gap! Then got very angry when I wouldn't pull over into the deeper water as he couldn't see where the verge was!

I pointed out that the driver behind him hadn't pulled forward and if he just reversed I could get passed him, so could the one car behind me and then he could drive on.. but no, he insisted I had caused the problem and should navigate around him. I refused.

The driver of the car behind me shouted, he shouted, I laughed, which made him even shoutier. In the end he reversed, still shouting! But I was right not to have pulled across as a car got stuck in there about 10 minutes later.

You just have to think that their lives must be very small to get so angry about something that costs about a minute of their time!

YANBU and i'm sick to death of it happening! I took literally 2 seconds after a green light came on to pull away in Newcastle and the taxi behind me lay on his horn due to impatience.

Unfortunately for him there was another set of lights after that and when they turned green i decided not to move at all. He beeped and beeped and flagged me off... i only moved in the end because another car came behind him and i didn't want to obstruct traffic. I would've sat there til he'd stopped beeping

I wish people wouldn't use their horns to display their impatience! Shakes me right up

He was definitely in the wrong, you were assessing a potential problem in the road... OK, you had right of way but if the car turning right was sat at the brow of the road, then you were sensible to wait for it to pass, avoiding the flooded bit.

Having seen a lot of cars broken by flood water becasue their drivers thought they cvould just squeeze through I am a quite cautious... or sensible as we call it round here!

Audi drivers tend to be wankers. They're always the ones speeding on the roads too.

I’ve been tooted at twice at the lights by dick heads. O both occasions i got out of the car, went round to the back office to check what the ‘fault’ was they were trying to tell me about. “Oh dear! I thought you were trying to tell me that there was something wrong with my lights” They ended up foaming at the mouth and calling me all sorts, but it’s so worth it.

There seems to be a lot of idiots on the road at the moment, I was waiting at a t junction for a car to pass before I pulled out when the car behind me started beeping. I beeped my horn back at him and when it was safe to do so pulled out. As soon as he could he overtook me but a couple miles down the road I ended up behind him as he got stuck behind a tractor!

Audi and BMW drivers are the worst for road rage and bad driver behaviour. Ditto White Van Man.

They also express their impatience to female drivers much more readily than they do to other men. Tossers the lot of them.
