To find this really irritating. For example on Strictly- it just seems so fake. It seems to have got worse in recent years also

Actual example?

Orangeblossom78 · 04/11/2019 09:32

The constant going on about how wonderful each other are and raving on about themselves also.

I suppose it wouldn't make great telly if everyone stood about with glum faces saying "Yeah, you were alright I suppose".

I'd say don't watch it if it's irritating you.

midnightmisssuki · 04/11/2019 09:37

Maybe don’t watch it then? What you rather them do - tell them what twats they are and how mediocre and awful their dancing was?

LadyCop · 04/11/2019 09:59

It's the whole luvvie thing isn't it? I think people in show business have always had a tendency towards this...

JulietakaIris · 04/11/2019 10:01

I agree OP. Not just on strictly either. Everywhere. It's social media imo. Competitive supportiveness and compliments. I blame selfies.

wigglybeezer · 04/11/2019 10:01

Yes, I can't take much of it, I'm too Scottish!

Orangeblossom78 · 04/11/2019 10:12

I am Scottish also Wink maybe we are too 'dour'!

OP posts:
wigglybeezer · 05/11/2019 01:03

It's a blessing and a curse!

VanyaHargreeves · 05/11/2019 01:07

A friend of my sisters is extremely gushing

It's so insincere as she is gushing to your face and then tells all in sundry any gossip she has gleaned

NightOfTheDemon · 05/11/2019 01:13

Yes, I can't watch it 😖
