To find this really irritating. For example on Strictly- it just seems so fake. It seems to have got worse in recent years also

The constant going on about how wonderful each other are and raving on about themselves also.

I suppose it wouldn't make great telly if everyone stood about with glum faces saying "Yeah, you were alright I suppose".

I'd say don't watch it if it's irritating you.

Maybe don’t watch it then? What you rather them do - tell them what twats they are and how mediocre and awful their dancing was?

I agree OP. Not just on strictly either. Everywhere. It's social media imo. Competitive supportiveness and compliments. I blame selfies.

It's so insincere as she is gushing to your face and then tells all in sundry any gossip she has gleaned
