To think I'm having another miscarriage! 😔

I've had 2 previous miscarriages, also have a 2 year old child. I'm currently supposed to be 8 weeks pregnant and I've gone from really sore breasts and all sorts of smells making me gag to feeling almost back to normal since waking up this morning.

They say pregnancies are all different but all 4 of mine so far have been fairly similar in terms of symptoms. The first miscarriage was picked up on the first scan, heart beat really slow and slow growth. I was asked to come back for a follow up scan a week later and there was no heartbeat, a few days later the miscarriage occurred.

The second miscarriage was a missed miscarriage I believe, all symptoms stopped at about 8-9 weeks of pregnancy and a few days before I was 13 weeks pregnant just before my first scan I had the miscarriage. Obviously having gone through 2 previous miscarriage I'm terrified it's going to happen again not just for another loss but because both were very painful and I ended up being taken to hospital in an ambulance due to severe bleeding being the primary cause.

I would like to hear other peoples stories. Did you experience loss of symptoms and everything was fine? Aibu to already be thinking the worst and that I'm going to have yet another miscarriage?

YANBU to be thinking the worst. I’m so sorry to hear of your losses. It’s totally natural you would be thinking this one is going the same way.

However, it’s really common for symptoms to wax and wane. I had my symptoms go away on a few occasions for a few days in the first trimester, then felt sick as a dog the rest of the time (couldn’t open the fridge, smell any food cooking etc), sore boobs, the works. DD was fine, and is now 4..... fingers crossed all will be well for you. The waiting’s a killer.

Here offering a handhold. Call your GP first thing. With your history they should agree to organise a scan quickly so you aren't left anxiously wondering. I do hope everything will be OK.

So sorry for what you have been through. With my pregnancy with number 2, I was sick 4 times a day, couldnt stand smells, sore boobs etc. I was convinced I'd see twins at the scan but instead found I'd had a mmc. I actually mc'd at 13 weeks but the baby had died at 8 weeks. I was sick even after id seen there was no heartbeat, right up until I miscarried. With pg no 1 and 3, I was completely symptomless. Infact, I think I made my own boobs sore by squeezing them to check if they were sore. I bled with dd2 but again, I think I caused it with over zealous 'checking' for bleeding. I had two health pgs resulting in dd1 and 2 without any symptoms. Symptoms mean nothing. Get yourself to the epu for a scan. Its the only way you will actually know. Fingers crossed for you. FlowersCakeBrew We had a mantra on the pg after mc forum 'today I am pregnant'. It helped.

I've had 3 successful pregnancies in which my symptoms waxed and waned just like that.
I worried things had gone wrong as well.
They hadn't.

I had one pregnancy where I had the most horrific symptoms and awful sickness I could barely move, yet that poor baby's heart beat stopped at 14 weeks. I was still sick as a dog even for a while after.

So really, the fact that your symptoms have gone doesn't mean you need to worry!

Good luck with the pregnancy.

So sorry for your losses, OP. I do remember at least one specific ocassion with my daughter where I woke up just not feeling as pregnant as I did the day before, which I know sounds silly now, but I just felt so different and my symptoms had all but disappeared. Everything luckily was absolutely fine, so hopefully it’ll be the same for you and will be nothing to worry about.

I’d get checked out tomorrow if you can, hopefully all will be well and it’ll put your mind at rest.
