I know I'm not, but need to get this out.
My 11 year old is in year six. He's usually very good at doing his homework and reads every night.
But I've just discovered he has been hiding his spellings. I found 3 sheets. 30 words total.
He knew 16 of them
He tried to claim he had done them at school and knew them all. Clearly not.
According to him I'm unreasonable for taking his tablet and insisting he spend some time learning his spellings and then testing him on them. In his words "you're a horrible parent. My friends don't have to do this"
Yeah yeah kiddo, I don't care what your friends do, I'm not their mum.
So what terrible, unreasonable thing do you do as a parent?
