To beg for mastitis help

Sorry, posting for traffic as I need advice!

I have mastitis and have antibiotics but I know I still need to be massaging my breast to unclog the blockage but I can't make it work. I have a large hard lump in the top of my breast, and when I hand express I only get milk coming from half my nipple so I'm assuming I need to do something to unblock the rest and get milk coming from all the ducts?
DD is 4 months and not on board with the frequent feeding I'm meant to be doing, she's just not hungry often enough and no amount of coaxing will make her feed before she's ready.

Does anyone have any tips that worked for them? I've done massage, used a comb, sat in the bath for ages, massaged with a shower head and it's just stubbornly refusing to reduce at all.

I really sympathise I had this a lot, it was so painful. I like you tried lots of different things.

What helped most was cabbage leaves in bra, drinking a lot more water helped a lot & alternating hot water bottle then switching to frozen peas on affected breast over and over. It seemed to really help unblock and feeding as frequently as possible. Good luck!

Second the suggestion to get a longer amount of antibiotics. Then into a hot bath massaging hard behind the blocked area. Doing this under the water after soaking for 10 mins was the only thing that worked for me. I also found the electric pump was causing me to get lumps / soreness so didn't pump anymore and used a top up of formula now and again. Hope you feel better soon.

i had mastitis and the cure although it sounds barmy worked fantastically quickly. Buy the greenest cabbages , cool in fridge. Take the large outer leaves and pack them in to your bra. Absolutely pack them around the infected breast. Change and repeat every few hours. Its am sort of miracle cure. Honestly.
