To hate having big boobs?

TheLolaMontez · 03/11/2019 08:51

I have always had a large-ish bosom, I was a 32E for a long time, on a small frame, I was a small size 10 I'd say, those were the days and then I had children (now onto my fourth pregnancy) DD1 is 16 months and I'm 19 weeks pregnant (DS1 was stillborn May '17 & had a miscarriage this year in Jan).

My boobs are now enormous. Prior to this latest pregnancy they were a 34GG/H and I'd be a 12/14 clothes size. I am now struggling to keep contained in my current comfortable bras Sad

Sleeping is becoming a nightmare, I like to sleep on my front normally but I've got so much boob it's uncomfortable without scooping them up and rearranging them several times in the night. Last night I was awake far more than I was asleep as I was just so uncomfortable. I get back ache a lot too which is probably a combination of them and carrying toddler DD around plus pregnancy aches and pains.

I'm also at that stage of pregnancy where I don't quite have a full/obvious baby bump, just look a bit podgy. That teamed with enormous breasts is really making me look like a beach ball with legs and I have to say it's getting me down a little.
All my clothes look terrible, I have no shape, I'm just round. I'm finding most high street clothes I have to size up to accommodate my boobs so there is no shape to the rest of the garment because it's just too big. I feel as though I look very broad up top and out of proportion.

Finding bras big enough is also an absolute mission. I sometimes wish I could just nip in Primark and pick up a 2 pack for £10 instead of having to trawl through shops that stock the largest of sizes to find that either don't have my size or if they do it's £50 a bra Sad

I'm seriously considering something surgical after we have finished having children as they are just getting out of hand literally.

Does any have any tips of where to shop for clothes that will make me look like a woman and not a ball with legs?

Just to add, DH is quite happy with their gargantuan size but agrees that my happiness more important and supports me in the idea of having them reduced/lifted if that's what I decide to do.

Finally, I know better than anyone how lucky I am to be pregnant with this baby and I am not knocking that at all - I am knocking the overly generous helping of boob I have been given Shock

All tips, sympathy, ideas welcome Smile

I feel your pain , I went from a 34 b to a 40 dd while pregnant with my ds I’v gone from a size 14 to 18 and back to a14 but my bust hasn’t changed at all,

On top of all that joy of joy I’ve just read your bust size can increase when your peri menopausal

rattusrattus20 · 03/11/2019 13:27

Yeah, at 43 & with two kids mine look like a couple of bin bags each about half full with water. Would view surgery as an absolute last resort though.

FuckyNel · 03/11/2019 13:28

@FrontRowSeat I feel very well thank you - it has been a straightforward recovery but this makes you feel you can do more than you should! Uncomfortable rather than painful.

Yes 26 or under, very strict about it!

Rainwilds · 03/11/2019 13:29

eBay is your friend for finding cheaper bras. I’m a 32KK, all natural and not pregnant!

FrontRowSeat · 03/11/2019 13:39

I wonder if liposuction is a cheaper alternative, or if they even carry out lipo on the breast area?

VirtualHamster · 03/11/2019 13:42

30F here, i was really considering surgery at one point until I read that they can grow back!

Sweetpea55 · 03/11/2019 13:44

I'm a 38HH..so I know how you feel. I get most of my bras from Bravissimo.
The problem is with clothes. If I buy a jacket that will fasten across my boobs it swamps my shoulders and the arm are too long.

BaronessBomburst · 03/11/2019 13:47

I was a 34K when pregnant and BF so I totally understand!
I'm a more reasonable 32FF now.
I buy Bravissimo clothes on eBay and can recommend Belle Lingerie for larger sized bras at sensible prices.

TellySavalashairbrush · 03/11/2019 13:48

I’ve lost 3 stones and mine have gone from DD to B. I love them being small, they used to be so heavy and clothes never sat right. Dh is not so keen though!

keepingbees · 03/11/2019 16:38

The BMI criteria in my area is under 25, and must be recorded as that for a year by the nhs! My BMI is 26 and I can't get below that, even on a very low calorie diet. Ironically the extra weight is on my chest and that won't shift.

TheLolaMontez · 03/11/2019 16:52

Thanks for all the info ladies. Bought myself a thick jersey dress from bravissimo today which is actually flattering! Yippee

Following for ideas.

TheLolaMontez · 03/11/2019 18:11

This is my bravissimo dress bought today. Apologies for the smudgy mirror Blush I'm blaming DD & DH for that.
Fits very nicely, boobs are obviously there but not too "in your face".

I am a 36 H! Ok, maybe don't look so great in clothes but naked they have given me and a fair few men a whole lot of pleasure, thank you very much. Just buy a well-fitting bra and enjoy!

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/11/2019 18:24

My huge tits have given some men pleasure and obviously still do even if just glanced at Hmm

I’m quite sure my boobs would have been as sensitive if smaller and quite sure once in bed most men are happy to grab any size boobs

I wouldn’t have to be so self conscious of spilling out of tops and would have a nicer and cheaper selection of bras

And that dress looks very nice

duckme · 03/11/2019 18:26

Bra shopping is actually traumatic for me. As is shopping for swimwear. The only place I have bought perfectly fitting bras from is Rigby and Peller in London. But they are super expensive so I obviously can't afford many. So at the moment I have one perfectly fitting bra and a few others that are Ok with a little readjustment.

TheLolaMontez · 03/11/2019 18:26

Mine look good without clothes (for now). Unfortunately I don't think the general public want to see them swinging about in the breeze Confused

Sorry, now that I've seen the photo I'm not buying this, "I have no shape, I'm round, I'm like a beach ball" stuff! I don't think you are being entirely objective about how you look.

You look great. Really cute dress.

TheLolaMontez · 03/11/2019 19:05

Yesterday I looked rounder than the world@RyvitaBrevis Sad this dress has made me feel much better, though Smile

TheLolaMontez · 03/11/2019 19:06

And thank you for your kind words

OP posts:
RyvitaBrevis · 03/11/2019 19:48

@theLolaMontez Well, I'm glad you're feeling better, and please don't be too hard on yourself. Smile I appreciate it sucks feeling this way and it is such a pain buying clothes that fit, and you are frustrated with your shape right now, but certainly in this photo it doesn't come through!

Craftycorvid · 03/11/2019 20:00

30FF and not tall. I spent my youth looking like a tubby little matron. Thanks to a bit of weight loss and better bras, I look a bit less matronly now, but - literally - feel all your pain, ladies. Freya bras are great and comfortable from the first wear, and Molke are a recent discovery of mine - no wires, no clips and very supportive.

24hourshomeedderandcarer · 03/11/2019 20:14

im a 46J/K and have been for years
i own 1 bra,in the house im never dressed as i wear night wear,i only wear a bra or get dressed if i going outside

ive had very large boobs from primary school age,my first bra at 9 was a 34c by 11 i was a E/F(but i was 5ft 10 so didnt look 11) and in the 90s that size wasnt easy to get, teens i settled on G/H and it went up and up from there
biggest ive ever been was a 50N in 2010 with son 2 as i have enormous pregnancys as he was 10lb9,26 inches long

mine are that big without a bra they are down to my waist and i 6ft so not a small torso, im a 20-22 bottom but need a 30 top

ive never had back problems,or a rash underneath

i would have them lifted but not reduced

i think if i was smaller stature i would struggle but i am classed as big for a woman as im 6ft, 18st and big bonned

Pinkbonbon · 03/11/2019 20:34

I was a 32GG last time I was measured and I have a feeling the damn things are getting bigger. I lost 15lbs last year partly because I was hoping the weight would come off them a bit, but nope-everywhere but!

I have been noticing more and more just how bloomin heavy they really are. Sitting in front of the telly at night like 'ugh..ffs' lol.
And don't even get me started on the shoulder pain from bras these days too!

I like having big boobs, just wish they were a more manageable dd/e cup lol.
