What are these black bits?

Every morning there are these little black dots that appear in the bathroom. It's a new bathroom, they were there before and are there now! Tiny black specks.

Dust the top of the window, remove cobwebs, little black dots will not return. Until the cobwebs return of course... This is how I know I need to dust 😂

Sort the window! You need to be able to open a bathroom window to avoid mould and condensation!

userxx · 03/11/2019 23:05

You need to sort the window or your bathroom will get very mouldy and a bit funky.

Aridane · 03/11/2019 23:10

Oh goodness - sort the window

Pumpkintopf · 03/11/2019 23:14

Def looks like mould!

EvenMoreFuriousVexation · 03/11/2019 23:14

I was going to say black mould but you described them as hard pellets. 🤔

I'm going to go with some kind of disgusting alien insect thing and second the move to buy anything - literally anything - that will kill the insects.

(If they turn out to be black mould then Dettol works well or tea tree oil if you want something more natural.)

Put some tissue or kitchen roll on the window ledge to see if they're on top of it in the morning or still underneath. If on top then it must be something falling from above. Also, if you wet them do they dissolve and turn reddish brown? If they do, then it would seem like it some sort of poo from an insect. If not, then I have no clue. I'd have to buy a microscope to look more closely and see if there's movement !

Theresnobslikeshowbs · 04/11/2019 00:12

I’m only putting myself here, so I can find out what they are! How strange🤔

DishingOutDone · 04/11/2019 11:54

If the window doesn't open how will the massive shitting spider leave?

NC4Now · 06/11/2019 22:38

If the window doesn't open it's even more likely to be mould. Is there an extractor fan? You need to ventilate the room somehow.
