What happens if I answer "Trick"? 👻

Tried to google, loads of conflicting info.
Enjoy the sugar rush, everyone🎃

this happened once when i took dd and ds when they were younger. they were confused, but then dd launched into a (very loud) rendition of the 'this is Halloween' song from just dance Confused Grin

SafetyAdvice0FeedWhenAgitated · 31/10/2019 16:38

So is it the kids doing the trick And that sounds like a good fun @sleepismysuperpower1

Well I just nipped into Tesco and the police we’re in there asking them not to serve kids who are just buying eggs... so I guess it’s that 😡 apparently they’ve had loads of trouble in town already.

SafetyAdvice0FeedWhenAgitated · 31/10/2019 16:41

God. Thought THAT ended yesterday...

My DH answered "I'll have the treat please", which totally flummoxed them!

SafetyAdvice0FeedWhenAgitated · 31/10/2019 16:45

😂 I am going to do that @lanthanum

@sleepismysuperpower1 This is Halloween from Just Dance?

OP the idea is for the kids to do a trick of some sort, but in my experience when I was younger you the house ends up either getting Egged, TP'd or silly string through the letter box.

LaurieMarlow · 31/10/2019 17:02

I wouldn’t OP.

It never happens round my way, but not a chance I’d take.

Just hand over the loot Grin

RosieLancs · 31/10/2019 17:02

@LoonyLunaLoo
Some prats threw eggs at the windshield of the bus my eldest daughter (17) was on on her way home from work and then someone else threw eggs at her between the bus stop and home.

SafetyAdvice0FeedWhenAgitated · 31/10/2019 17:02

Very tempted, but don't want to spend tomorrow cleaning up😂

sleepismysuperpower1 · 31/10/2019 17:03

@RainbowAlicorn it was one of the songs from the just dance game, let me see if i can find a link

sleepismysuperpower1 · 31/10/2019 17:04

@RainbowAlicorn is it here Grin

GameSetMatch · 31/10/2019 17:12

As a child we used to knock a door run after being told ‘trick’ didn’t know what else to do.

TricklBOO · 31/10/2019 17:31

When I was little I had a stock of crap jokes Grin

LoonyLunaLoo · 31/10/2019 18:13

@RosieLancs that’s disgusting! Your usernames suggests we’re in the same county though so maybe not surprising.

SafetyAdvice0FeedWhenAgitated · 31/10/2019 19:01

Well. I didn't dareBlush
Maybe I will be braver next year

geekone · 31/10/2019 19:13

Thank goodness I am in Scotland we don’t trick or treat we guise and they all have to do a ‘bit’!

SafetyAdvice0FeedWhenAgitated · 31/10/2019 19:26

I actually quite enjoyed it! This might be outing if the parents are here, but there was a little one, really little one and he just gave me his sweets bag, then took a sweet from a bowl and kind of tried to leave while I was still holding his little bag😂 Must say all kids are really polite. Yes, some do take handful, most take 1, 2 at max. All say thank you, including parents.
Al in all, Halloween gets 5* from me😂 And I am not even that big on children tbh.

@LoonyLunaLou
I used to live in Lancashire when I set up my Mumsnet acct but I'm back down on the south coast again now

RainbowAlicorn · 31/10/2019 21:19

@sleepismysuperpower1 I know it is on the game, but it's from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
