A) Because you love them so much you couldn't live without them.

or

B) Because life with them is easier / better than being single.

Wish I could do a vote but I don't know how. So please comment away! Are you A or B?

OP posts:
thatonesmine · 30/10/2019 23:44

After getting on for 40 years I'd have to say B. But for most of those years it was A.

SleepingStandingUp · 30/10/2019 23:46

B.
I love him, life is better with him, but if he left tomorrow I have three boys to look after, I couldn't not go on and put my love for him ahead of my love for my sons.

Branleuse · 30/10/2019 23:47

A bit of both.
I love him a lot and i much prefer having him in my life

AlexaAmbidextra · 30/10/2019 23:50

All of those who answered A, if you couldn’t live without him what will you do if he predeceases you? Seriously.

MajesticWhine · 30/10/2019 23:51

Hmm, not sure. I love him, I could live without him, but things are probably better with him around.

mbosnz · 30/10/2019 23:52

Both? B feeds into A!

gwenneh · 30/10/2019 23:53

A. I couldn’t imagine life without him.

What would I do if he dies first? Get on with it like any other widow, but I imagine I’d be like his mum and choose not to date or marry anyone else.

DramaAlpaca · 30/10/2019 23:54

A mixture of A & B. Life is better & easier together, I love him & he's my best friend, but I'm not dependent on him & could live without him if I had to.

katy1111 · 30/10/2019 23:54

Another vote here for @SluggishSnail's option C.

Fillybuster · 30/10/2019 23:56

But what about

C) neither of the above, but you really like, love and admire them, they are your absolute favourite person in the whole wide world, and even if they drive you slightly nuts sometimes no one else will ever be such good company, as funny, clever, insightful and huggable (& snoggable....did I mention fancying the pants off them?) or make you laugh, or “get it” (or you) like they do?

I don’t think that’s the same as either of the others? It’s definitely love, but if it was just love, I think I could live without it, and it definitely makes life better, but in my opinion C is way way more than either.

MadCattery · 30/10/2019 23:58

A

Fillybuster · 30/10/2019 23:58

Sorry...should have RTWT....let’s make mine option D, in that case Smile

Mountainash · 31/10/2019 00:00

A. - Without a doubt

Bluerussian · 31/10/2019 00:00

A, I did love him very much as he did me but now I am widowed I know I can live without him, most people can but they can't bear the thought of their spouse not being there. I was like that.

IWillJustKeepQuietThen · 31/10/2019 00:01

Both. I love him so much and life is easier
However I am a strong willed person and if it all went tits up I could definitely live without him.. I'm always independent and headstrong

BackforGood · 31/10/2019 00:03

I'm with
@Celehelly
@TheMobileSiteMadeMeSignup
@MajesticWhine

I could live without him, of course I could, but I choose to live with him because he makes my life that much better. He is the person I want to live with / spend my life with

and also @Fillybuster' option D

Blondebakingmumma · 31/10/2019 00:05

A

2018SoFarSoGreat · 31/10/2019 00:08

Both. Could manage to live without him, but would much prefer living with him.

VenusTiger · 31/10/2019 00:08

I read that as you’ve written it “to wonder if you are you...” did you mean that? If so, yes I’m me around my DH and A

Ohyesiam · 31/10/2019 00:10

Well I’ll say A because I really love and appreciate him, but I know I could live without him, I’d rather not And the thought of it makes me sad.

AthollPlace · 31/10/2019 00:10

B. It makes me quite sad that I can’t say A, but we were never madly in love. Just comfortable not being alone.

idontdance · 31/10/2019 00:12

A definitely

Sobeyondthehills · 31/10/2019 00:42

It depends on the situation.

B when he doesn't put his fucking clothes away and expects me to know what is fucking dirty

A. He spent a good couple of hours teaching our son to cook this afternoon.

I love him, but christ he fucks me off sometimes

Time40 · 31/10/2019 01:06

All of those who answered A, if you couldn’t live without him what will you do if he predeceases you? Seriously

It's a figure of speech, pp. I'm sure we don't all mean that we literally couldn't live without him.

managedmis · 31/10/2019 01:14
