Just sat on a full commuter train home next to a woman filing her claws away, flakes falling everywhere... Halloween Envy the handrail is stuck in my opposite side as I try to get away from it, but she's not taking the hint!!!

Got 50 minutes to go yet, please distract me with your stories of co-commuters you wanted to chuck out the window!

my pet hate is on the tube, really packed, and some git wraps themselves round the pole in the middle so no one else can hold on. fucking rude.

ps the only make up a lady should put on in public is lipstick. if you care about such things.

People.. there should be a test, you can’t behave like a sane normal human in public you can’t get on.

And people who poke in at babies.. shoo he’s mine I don’t want your dirty paws in his face I’m pretty sure he doesn’t either. I don’t mind leaning and looking but why do you need to rub his face.

And the ones who stare at me when he farts like a grown man in the carrier Halloween Blush I swear it wasn’t me!

Our buses have a sign up stating no food or drink to be consumed on board.. not that it’s stopped anyone. I get having a mint or a drink of juice from a bottle but you don’t need to bring a full on curry with you. Pick something that isn’t smelly.

And child ignoring parents.. just talk to the poor bugger! Or you risk ending up like the lady I’ll never forget. Kid tried to talk to her for about 20minutes she kept shhing him (he was about 6 not a small toddler and in the days before tablets for portable peppa) he vomited all over her.. she was livid and demanded why he hadn’t said.. he’d only been trying to tell her for ages that he didn’t feel well.

Men with dirty tracksuit bottoms who sit legs apart (presumably with inadequacies in bed).

Babynut1 · 29/10/2019 19:56

Smelly people 😷🤢

I seem to attract them on public transport.

People keeping their backpacks on on full (standing) trains
eating smelly food (macdonalds, curries etc)
perfume/deodorant
women with supershort skirts snd no underwear (or tiny thongs)
guys with too short shorts

When I was pregnant coming back from the doctors armed with a sick note and more anti nausea drugs (I had hyperemisis lucky me) a woman sat beside me on the bus and opened up sour cream and onion crisps, I had to get off the bus because it was packed and I had to be sick because of the smell.
I had managed to sit through her first packet but the second ended me and me gagging didn't deter her.

Lhastingsmua · 29/10/2019 20:45

People with backpacks are the worst - they always insist on wearing them on absolutely rammed peak time trains instead of having the decency to place them on the floor/hold them lower down. And their backpacks are always fucking massive too, like at least the same size as their body. It’s so inconsiderate.

Gosh it seems like I'm a bit of an offender 😂 I do eat on public transport but only non smelly food (usually a ham sandwich) and only if there's no one beside me. I can't bear people's noises/phone conversations/loud side by side conversation /repetitive or all phone notifications and noises, people playing music or videos out loud 👀. I was on a bus yesterday and sat opposite a lone child eating a Greg's cookie and watching something very loud on a phone, all while very obviously staring at me when she was old enough to know that's rude. Her guardian was halfway down the bus. I really wanted to ask her to stop staring at me but couldn't bring myself to. It ruins my day when someone in need of a seat gets on and nobody moves. I was brought up to give my seat up for someone in need and will continue to do so. People also leave a lot of rubbish behind, its pretty disgusting 🤢 I spotted a used sanitary towel wedged down the side of a bus seat a few weeks ago. Absolutely vile 🤮

Woman systematically pulling her eyelashes out with a teaspoon on the DLR a couple of weeks ago repulsed me

BeardedMum · 02/11/2019 00:19

Loud long conversations on mobile phones ruin my commute to work every day. Toe nail clipping would make a welcome change.

MrsNoMopp · 02/11/2019 00:39

People.

@LatinLanguage

This made me laugh out loud!!

People who sit on the aisle seat on a packed bus then huff when you ask to take the window seat.

People who take selfies on the bus or tube (weirdly common).
