Been given a load of engineered flooring which I am in the process of cleaning up, alot of the tongue and groove has been damaged in the process, can they still be reused? Where do I even start?

Also would you sand and varnish each piece before or after laying it

It would depend on how badly the tongue and groove is damaged. You need to check that all the grooves will accept tongues and all the tongues will fit in the grooves. You might need to spend some time on them with a sanding block and maybe even cut out part of the tongues if they are really badly damaged.

I'd sand and varnish after laying.

Thank you so much.. never done anything like this so a massive project for me but hopefully will be worth it and saved me a small fortune for a new floor
