AIBU to suggest that posters asking about contacting Children’s Services about safeguarding issues, use the term refer rather than report?

Does it matter?

My reasoning is that Children’s Services are there primarily to help families who are struggling. The term report has connotations of criticism, interference and generally being the last thing any family would want.

It's a god point you make. BUT from every experience I have had, negative and positive it really is the last thing anyone would want.

Fucking leeches ... they DONT help, they judge, criticise, do not support, invade your life.
